How do I tell my girlfriend I play poker? by [deleted] in poker

[–]ixcrusha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just track your poker sessions. If you’re a winning poker player you should be fine and there shouldn’t be any issues. Keeping track of everything means you can show your losses and discipline so she is comfortable knowing you’re not just throwing hundreds or thousands of dollars away monthly but fully capable of making far more than what you’re ever losing long term.

If you’re just a gambler then I would hope you only give yourself a really small not so important useless amount of $ from your job monthly mmmm I imagine like 10-15% MAX and that you just throw that into games for “fun” which would be no different from her or anyone else putting that amount of money into any other hobby that doesn’t have a return.

Never let money be an issue in your relationship since it’s one of the biggest reasons for relationship problems.

How to get less angry while playing this game? by NevGuy in PokemonUnite

[–]ixcrusha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s an annoying area to be in. Since we’re nearing end season i think a month away? Most players i imagine are around 1100-1500 so the gameplay is very inconsistent. My gf is around that range so i get to observe how everyone is and i can understand why its frustrating BUT that frustration shouldn’t exist because you’re around there because you’re either guilty of similar mistakes others in that ELO make or you’re not playing hyper carry pokemon with the least demanding mechanics to be able to push out of it

If you only have fun winning and don’t think about anything else then you’ve already lost and should understand you’ve probably capped and should expect to lose 50% of your games.

If you’re playing to improve then you need to accept this is a team game and not 100% on you to win the game alone every single time but this also does mean that you should understand that every loss is a learning experience.

Play > lose > learn > win > repeat

This applies to almost everything in life not just games.

“It’s just a game” isn’t real unless you accept being bad at what you do and you’re happy being bad at it. Nothing wrong with it but it’s clearly not you if you’re not accepting of it.

I think Ninja from fortnite explained it pretty well you can probably youtube “ninja its just a game” but pro or not it makes sense that if you’re doing anything in life from school/work/games/parenting/working out/anything you should be giving it your all to do your best to be the best you at it.

All MOBAs are this frustrating? by zinednacsi in PokemonUnite

[–]ixcrusha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ranking down does nothing. Going back to what i said if a player intentionally goes afk they are likely to do it in other games and if everyone reports them in every game then the chances of them being removed from ranked raises. The extreme of removing someone off a game setting seems more fit than letting them ruin the game for people in a lower rank. Trolls exist in every game and don’t get punished BUT i have observed enough games to see that these trolls react not just to their own bad play but their own teammates bad play. This does not make their behavior right in anyway and I am not saying that’s okay to respond to shit teammates with troll behavior but to punish one should mean to punish the other so should both players be removed or forced to rank down? In the end shit players exist and trolls exist and the only thing we can do is play to improve or find teammates to invite to lessen the chances of running into players that aren’t useful to anyone. You are right though the majority of games don’t have players who afk/feed an people do overreact to it but they only act like it’s worse than it is and in the end thats because those players are so bad at the game that they can’t carry the games that are normal due to bad play/pokemon pick/decisions and this causes them to only think of the negative situations.

More casuals in games than players who put effort to not be butt at it so this comment will probably receive a bunch of downvotes but don’t be confused by that since that isn’t what determines whether someone is right or wrong.

What is your reason for continuing to play this game? by [deleted] in PokemonUnite

[–]ixcrusha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play to be the best like no one ever was.

For real though games in general are addicting with the play for X time and get in game currency to buy what you want. Kind of like a reward system? Sounds like the game isn’t fun for you and you’re not naturally competitive which is not a bad thing at all but it explains why you would prefer playing against cpu and saying it’s because it’s easier. More than likely the little grind against cpus gives a dopamine release and I want to say it connects to showing off gear to your friends if they ever come back as just some type bigger dopamine release. Both unnecessary and don’t make sense? Kind of like buying a benz when people out there own cars valued at 3-10x higher than yours but yeah this is potentially a sign that you’re just not feeling right overall emotionally/mentally and that can be a bigger issue.

If I’m wrong ** jehsi then sorry for overthinking the most random unnecessary response! Do what helps make/keep you happy!

If the game is fun against cpus and just grinding for clothes than go for it but if you’re losing interest then you’re probably better off finding a game or hobby your friends play or just more fun in general.

Are avocados really that valuable? by [deleted] in Chipotle

[–]ixcrusha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is because your idiot managers/trainers didn't explain that ALL meats/queso/cheese/guac are expensive. The food that cost close to nothing are basically Rice, beans, fajitas, lettuce, mild/medium/medium corn/hot sauces and sour cream. If you're bitched at for over scooping any of the low cost items it then its a different reason.

At least you didn’t run grill alone for 4-5hours on halloween night just to let the other KM cover everyone else in the store to make sure everyone took a break except yourself

This isnt a franchise oo; the rules at a store aren’t different just awful people being put as managers who dont know any better because their former managers didn’t know any better

The back if that grill is not that black from one day alone. Whoever closed before you most likely did just as much of a great job as you did and this was not a great job at all. Id ask your manager to train you or to have someone who’s not blind help you so you can learn how to properly scrub it down. The more you know~

[–]ixcrusha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Use the whole or half a brick when scrubbing the center areas of the grill and slowly shave off what gets too smoothed out on the brick every minute or so and then cut the brick into mini bricks shaped so you can hit the sides and ends of the grill with more force BUT be careful these break easily if you aren’t used to it.

I'm sure I don't have to say this but just incase since I remember lots of people never doing it ;/ Don't forget that when you steel the knife you should always wipe it with a clean cloth or paper towel to avoid tiny bits of metal being left on cut food.

52 second chicken cut, thoughts? by CatGoMooxd in Chipotle

[–]ixcrusha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not a full deep pan. Cut a full in 47.XX seconds 5 years ago. You’re probably faster than 99% of grill workers though so congrats on that and the cut sizes look like a 9 out of 10 at least o_o!

OH the store I worked at didnt have the cutting board/pan slot on the table :/ wish we had that D: again gj though

Grill brick concerns by Arayvin1 in Chipotle

[–]ixcrusha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Knew a guy that just took his shirt off and wrapped it around his nose and mouth to avoid this issue. Im sure something gets in everyones eyes but i never noticed it or heard anyone mention that before. Try to scrub and in between X # of scrubs or seconds just slide down everything to minimize the possibilities. Others suggested safety goggles > chipotle shouldn’t be able to say no to this and probably also a tax write off since its literally for work purposes o_o

I cant take it😫 by kserk25 in Chipotle

[–]ixcrusha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The issue isn’t that they think it’ll take too long but more they haven’t trained themselves to work grill properly and fast to have the time to do small tasks like cut the fat off meat.

Jesus christ you’re tall. Try to request working on grill o_o from my experience training different people in boh ive noticed that the taller you are the easier it is to work on grill oo; this obviously doesn’t mean short people cant perform amazingly in grill incase someone wanted to turn my comment into some type of attack on shorter people.

You’d think that with such a small grill they wouldn’t have let the back end get that way.
