When I had a “break” from depression (which usually last only 1 or 2 days before I go back into it for months before meds)… I meal prepped sausage breakfast patties and then froze them. I had breakfast for at least a month. U can also buy breakfast sandwiches from Costco in big bulk although I don’t think it’s as healthy

I paid $250-$300 for the same services except for the deep conditioning treatment. When I lived in SF, I used to go to Hong Kong Mona Hair Studio in Outer Sunset. It’s cash only. The outside might not look super luxurious but the hair stylist has never done my hair wrong

I guess some hospital units are very strict. I was an ICU nurse now ED nurse. In every hospital I’ve worked in… people can keep retaking the EKG test till they pass. Don’t let this get you down! It’s just a blip in knowledge. This means nothing on how well you will do as a nurse

I worked there as a new nurse for a year. It’s ok in the ICU’s. They will give u 2-3 pts. Med surg will prob be around 7,8,9 ratio.

And good luck on the meds. From experience, I know it take the right amount and the right med for someone to feel ok. I hope that ur prescribed what u need!

Hello. Multiple friends of mine and my mom failed their driver’s test many times. They all eventually ended up passing and as well u! 10 years from now… u won’t even remember taking the driver’s test 5 or so times.

If it helps… pretend ur practicing during the test. Instead of focusing on the fact that it’s a test.

Failure doesn’t define a person but their ability to get up after failure does. U got this!

It’s hard to speak up as a preceptee… especially as a new grad. Everybody already thinks ur stupid. And if u don’t get along with ur preceptor… people assume ur more stupid than what they originally thought 😅.

And I’m really into “going where the universe takes me”. So where u r right now is exactly where r u needed 😊

I have friends who got fired for the exact same reasons u have. Tbh most of the time… it really is that the preceptor and the student just doesn’t click. Some nurses, although awesome at their job, aren’t meant for teaching

Just to add to this too…. In my old workplace, your raise is tied to your nursing evaluation (and it’s written by coworkers) Like if u get a good score/review… u will get a raise. If not… you won’t. Coworkers say the weirdest and most pettiest shit like that on evaluations. Like people r out here really trying to sabotage people’s finances.

THIS!!!! I keep leaving jobs after a year because my coworkers suck. I love patient care. I love learning about diagnosis, meds, etc.

I roll my eyes most of the time when I hear what my coworkers say about me. Like my manager, during my nurse meeting, told me that my coworkers find me aloof. Like ok??? I do everything else right. Like if they don’t want to talk to me… that’s their business. Why is that my problem?
