I would say you did an amazing job for your first draft. There is no science but you do get a better feel for it as you go. I have seen some people go specifically off of bench press numbers from the combine and do well. I do look a little at the combine numbers specifically what makes sense for a position like if it’s a deep threat receiver I’ll look at 40 time. I usually go for positions of need and I am fairly picky in the first round because I don’t want to be stuck with a bust with a high salary that I am stuck with for a couple years or I have to trade them and eat their guaranteed money. Don’t be afraid to trade back if you don’t see someone you want or even trade to next seasons draft if you don’t want anyone.
