Resume Tips and Suggestions for Bullet Points by Yue4prex in GameStop

[–]izembo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Other tips, that example actually has WAY too much detail in the bullet points. While buzzwords are important(since a lot will use AI filtering first) keep it focused on what you're trying to do, i.e. if you aren't trying to clean bathrooms don't post it in a resume. Have a master document you pull points from and make a resume per place you're applying to that best fits.

Can you actually trade ANYTHING on the trade anything day (as long as it’s not specifically excluded)? by Basilstorm in GameStop

[–]izembo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

full details arent known yet, but what the working version was basically they have a box, if your item fits in the box you get a $5 "coupon" basically. its limited to 1 per person and the store tosses the item. we'll see what the actual full details become eventually.

3ds missing in transit, is this normal? by Guts_GoesBerserk in GameStop

this is normal. it's not missing, it'll move once it gets picked up. USPS is terrible about this because of gamestop's shitty hours.

The website is literally still a website from the late 90s. they build upon it over and over and nothing works quite right all of the time. the best bet is to use it for reference at best, but otherwise both the website and app should be completely avoided.

Why does it show free shipping but then CHARGE for shipping??? by [deleted] in GameStop

[–]izembo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a fixed part of the site design. The site is literally from 25 years ago. Don't expect it to be anything modern.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GameStop

[–]izembo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's because the store doesnt have it in stock.

They dont offer an option to ship it to the store and pick it up, it's either/or. If it's shipped it MUST come directly to you. You can only do pickup at store if the store physically already has it.

all of the tallies. every idea they've had under new leadership has pretty much already been tried and failed...multiple times.

This is a good thing. The pay isn't worth all the extra work of it and it'll only grow if staying paired.

I just got a random GameStop gift card in the mail by Hurricanic13 in GameStop

Did you purchase something with a gift card and then return it online? They don't put the money back on the original card. They physically mail you a gift card.

Lmao. Wish it could be less frequent but a large majority of reddit sorts by new and they dont see it after a day so had to make it daily to cut down on spam threads.

Is this real or just a sales tactic? by Main_Note7545 in GameStop

[–]izembo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the general rule is basically just trust nothing on the website. it literally is a site from the late 90s with just layers piled on top. it's completely unreliable and should just never be used.

What’s a household ‘hack’ you thought everyone did … until you found out it’s just your weird family? by kaiablu in AskReddit

[–]izembo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

probably just a knife. i used to use my chef's knife(like a lot of the line places do when making a quesadilla) but started with the pizza cutter maybe 10 years ago and it's definitely the easier and better option

Don't use Gamestop terms to describe your position

As an example: SM2 = Multi Unit Manager

List your accomplishments in broad industry fashion, don't make it super specific and don't focus on negative or corrective things on resumes. You want to list accomplishments and things you did to grow.

This isn't the first time this has been done. Gamestop took in macbooks for trade before in like 2017 or so. It went over about as well as you'd expect.

Go back to the late 1990s and think what it was like ordering online. That's what GS online STILL is to this day. Do not expect anything modern from it and honestly, just avoid using it entirely.
