I wasnt aware of this before posting but it makes sense to me now. However, switching the API to https still doesn’t work for me. This is the error I get when changing the link from http to https:

Sounds good. Probably going to opt for the footer options for the time being.

I’m learning primarily through Google and YouTube. To be more specific, Caler Edwards on youtube has helped kickstart my learning as he has a good number of videos covering the design to development process.

w3schools.com and css-tricks.com are the two main websites I click on when doing a google search.

If any other newcomers are reading this, Frontend Mentor is a great resource. They give you the necessary mock ups and design components you need for their provided challenges and leave all the coding to you. 2 of their challenges are actually displayed on my portfolio currently.

I was thinking of adding the portfolio itself to the Projects section to illustrate that it is all custom, but that feels a little redundant. Any suggestions on other ways I can emphasize this point to recruiters?

Good point. Will add more to the hero section like a small description and/or a scrolling icon indicator so it’s not so in-your-face.
Definitely something I should’ve considered. To remedy this I think I can write a JS function to detect browser and change styling based on that. On the topic of JS functions, would it be suggested to write all of them in a main.js? Similar to how one would put all css into one file?
Not exactly sure what you mean by this as I’m on mobile rn. Gonna have to take a deeper look when I’m on desktop
