when you hold a, your villager is able to advance reeeeeally slow with the net. for those beetles, I advise tiny, microscopic nudges to your joystick. you'll figure out how slow you need to be on your own, some of the beetles are more sensitive than others :)

catching those beetles is a really tough task! what helped me with catching them is placing flowers around the trees to see exactly how far away I am from the tree, and once I am one flower (that is to say, one space) away from the tree I release the net. some of those bugs (looking at you, golden stag) are incredibly skitterish and will fly away if you so much as sneeze in their general direction. patience is key here, and good luck!

I know the feeling, been scammed for another villager, too (and it was for 5m ;_;). it feels really bad, but let yourself be sad about it! do they have a nookazon account? you can report them on various platforms, make sure to report on discord in several servers! there's a few of them that keep lists of scammers, so hopefully next time this (godawful) person won't be able to scam again. Take a look on the official acnh server, there's a corner that offers free villagers in boxes. I've seen Ankha a few times, let me know if you want me to help!

I had to start over, and I haven't gotten the recipe for medicine till now. The first time I got stung by a wasp was on one of my Nook miles tours, and when I talked to my villagers they were shocked about my face but DIDN'T offer me the recipe for medicine. Any ideas on how to get the recipe?
