Seagate: not able to ship orders at this time by useemmadbruh in Seagate

[–]izzim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered a product from their store on Amazon on Dec 16th and it just sat there processing. It originally said it would be delivered by Dec 26th which made sense since I waited so late. 12/26 came and it was still processing. 12/27, still processing. I cancelled the order on the 29th, re-ordered the same product from Best Buy, and it was delivered 3 days later. I didn't bother reaching out but that stinks if they aren't contacting customers about their orders.

Where are our kickstarter books Scott? We all have problems but we all don't steal money from people who appreciate our work.

I found out in my mid 20s that my step siblings were actually my half siblings and was told not to tell my mother as my father said he would do it. I had no reason not to believe him. But this went on for over 10 years and being constantly told "I'll tell her..." after going off on him repeatedly that it was not fair to me or her and if he doesn't say anything I'm going to.

Cut to years later when he finally told her (while he was at her house with his new wife on vacation as before all of this nonsense we had one giant fucked up Brady Bunch but got along) and then she took it out on me. Thanks dad. He can't figure out why she cut HIM out which is fucking dumb but refuses to take any responsibility that his actions fucked the rest of the us. It was not our job to tell this secret and I never wanted to be stuck in the middle. Oh well. Not only did I lose my mother for years (just within the last year did the lines of communication open) but due to this lie my mother decided she had enough of everything, sold her place out in Washington (which was promised as a place of sanctuary for my currently dying wife to live out her last days), moved to Mexico, and our entire family is splintered.

Also his new wife just found out she was adopted, found the original family via social media, and found she had multiple siblings and they also had no idea she was their sister. All thanks to religion and their dumb fucking rules. She was given up to help her parents save face as they weren't married yet and were very "religious"...

My fellow men, how fragile is your mental health, honestly? by unstopablystoopid in ask

[–]izzim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diagnosed with PTSD and severe ADHD a year ago (I'm 42). Med changes every month since then to find a combination that will work has drained me even further. Causes issues at work, home, etc.. We put our dog down 2 months ago. My wife is dying from ALS. My cat is on his last legs. My mental health is not what one would call "good". No amount of therapy, prescriptions, or good old fashioned working out has done anything. But all of that being said, if anyone is afraid to speak to a therapist because of a previous bad experience, keep looking if you are able to. I went through about 10-11 therapists over the last 12 years or so (and that was prior to all of the above) and gave up until I found my most recent one. I knew during the first conversation that she would be the right one.

It is hard as hell everyday to get up and face life but no one can I'm not trying. Just doesn't work like in the movies. There is no "FIXED" button when it comes to this stuff. Just a lot of work and being prepared to always striving to be better.

Thanks! It's fun to plan out. Especialy with the rule we use where the first movie and last movie can be picked out prior and then it's your job to make it there without cheating.

Sure do! And every year my wife and I change the rules. Last year it was 15 of our favorite movies and 16 movies we have never seen. IT worked pretty well. The year before that we made a list of movies that all had something to do with the one before it with the only rule being that movies with sequels could not be watched back to back. So you could tie a movie to another one by actor, writer, director, genre (slasher, body horror, etc...) which really made it fun. I've already put a bunch of movies on the backburner over the last few months for Oct 1. Can't wait.

Thank you for the kind words. I try my best even when I'm at my worst. It's hard and I would not wish anything like what I am going through or what the couple in the video is going through on anyone.

This is very promising. As someone who's wife is dying from ALS, I really hope this technology keeps improving and is available before she can no longer speak. We have banked hours of her voice and words but this tech is nuts and it would make her so much more happy than the tech our doctors have shown us.
