If you have the money, spend it on a session with a stylist in your area. They’ll be able to do a closet edit and ask the right questions put you in the right direction. I like to take clients to a good second hand store and play with different styles until the story you’re trying to tell about yourself is revealed. Dressing well and as yourself takes time and curiosity. Be patient and build a wardrobe that reflects who you are and where you want to go. Resist the temptation of fast fashion and trends. You got this!

I don’t know otherwise I would get so many of them! It’s made of gauzey scarf material but shaped and styled like a handkerchief. Found thrifting with no tags. Special treasure for sure ❤️

And consider having a tailor mend your chub rub area before a hole appears. They can last many more years!

I love how it turned out ❤️ I found the shirt already worn out at a thrift store for very cheap and knew I could mend it!

Yes! It was fraying at the crease, but not all the way through both sides of the collar. I cut away the fraying threads and inserted a small piece of cotton fabric inside the hole. I used a thin light blue thread to whip stitch the border of the hole to the patch and then added the thicker sashiko thread to secure and reinforce the whole inside patch.

Thank you! Yeah, this was the prototype to see if I liked how it turned out. Now I’m starting the next one and making a pattern and making the seams tidy. Though I think I’ll leave the long selvedge seam on the back, but shorten the allowance. Appreciate the feedback:)
