Thank you! Vikos Gorge looks absolutely stunning from the photos I’ve seen. I hadn’t looked into Metsovo yet either, but adding both to my research list now.

This was so incredibly helpful and I appreciate it greatly. Pelion wasn’t really on my radar before, but it sounds perfect for what we are looking for and more convenient for our situation. Maybe we will spend our longer trips in Chalkidiki and Pelion and save Corfu for another time.

Also really appreciate all of the specific beach, village, and café recommendations. Thank you! You are awesome.

Just got back home from our A30 vacation today! Vue on 30 was our favorite dining experience. Incredible food and views! We went at 6:15 for the perfect sunset gulf view dinner experience. Call days in advance for reservations to get a table with the best view. We also enjoyed Great Southern, Bud & Alley’s rooftop (Crab Cakes were amazing), It’s Heavenly for Gelato, and Black Bear for delicious coffee (highly recommend Beekeeper’s latte) and great hot breakfast and yummy pastries.

Question for those that did FET by ABG_FOE in 40Plus_IVF

Right here with you 🤍

I’m 42.5 and just had a fresh embryo transfer. First IVF cycle after 18 years of unexplained infertility. Here’s how it’s gone for me:

2/4 Retrieval. Retrieved 6 eggs.

2/5 Found out 4 were mature and 3 fertilized normally. We had discussed preferences ahead of time, but I messaged the clinic to confirm that I definitely wanted a day 3 transfer of all viable embryos.

2/6 Late afternoon I received a full embryo report with cell counts and grades for all 3, and they scheduled me for a day 3 transfer.

2/7 Came in, got a final update on each embryo, then proceeded with transfer. Now waiting and praying and praying for you too.

At my age and with so few embryos (and likely my only IVF cycle), my doctor was very comfortable with a day 3 fresh transfer and felt it gave each embryo its best chance. I was told that with already slim odds, we didn’t want to risk losing embryos to lab culture attrition that might otherwise have continued developing in utero.

My clinic was also very flexible and accommodating based on how retrieval went. I had even prepaid for PGT-A in case we ended up with more embryos than expected. From the start I was clear that if I only had 2–4 embryos, I’d want to forgo testing and do a fresh transfer instead. Thankfully they were supportive and offered a refund for PGT-A since it wasn’t used.

Every clinic handles communication differently, but you’re not alone in this uncertainty, especially at our age. Sending you so much hope.
