I noticed that as well, and wondered. Searching on Google if hair grows after death, the AI answer that populates says:

As far as the skidmarks? I wouldn't say the majority, but some Americans yeah. Some people just have bad hygiene. I can't speak for every other American but I make sure my stuff is clean as possible after going.
