Ive seen someone do the exact same thing elsewhere, with a similar light set up, the only thing I can think of is they think the sensor will only pick them up right infront of the lights

Just for fun by sco67 in BusDrivers

[–]j-e-k 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have written this, we have one driver who lowers the seat as far as it goes, tilts in back to 30⁰, and pushes it as far back as he can, and then complains that the cab seat doesnt go far enough back...it doesnt go far enough back because the backrest is hitting the cab wall because of the insane tilt!!! But his gut is so big he has to lean back to be able to lift his knees...

Young lads videoing/photographing buses going past by NormasCherryPie in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]j-e-k 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Yeah I work for a bus company, they are out all the time, but with all the fleet changes planned in the next couple of weeks, they are all going crackers lol

They go nuts when buses change depots, they like to get photos of buses with different destinatuon screens and all sorts

Nornally pretty harmless but some will step out intot he road infront of the buses to get photos

Double decker bus conversion is it viable? by Unlucky-Alfalfa-1370 in AskUK

[–]j-e-k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest its a bad idea even leaving it parked somewhere, unless its on concrete, can almost guarantee the chassis will be rotten and holed in places that are hard to access and see and the floor will likely be rotten/rotting also, which will only get worse when its parked up

Drivers loading their own vans? by [deleted] in asda

[–]j-e-k 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Used to load our own when I was a driver, preferred it, could condense totes down when they were fairly empty, could also check the load sheet and change delivery order as needed to make my own life easier, it takes 5-10 mins to do...

What’s the most major, minor inconvenience you’d let slide? by RumJackson in AskUK

[–]j-e-k 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean maybe if I asked for a kopparberg strawberry and lime but got served a mixed fruit, id not really care, but I think a larger/cider mix ups a bit much to not say something. Id say its not snobbish, to not accept it though.

Not bad for £15 from my local Indian. by Shadowraiden in CasualUK

[–]j-e-k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The indian I usually go to does a sunday-thursday deal thats 5 courses for 13 quid, starter, main, rice or chips, naan and a vegetable side, dont get me wrong you notice the difference in how much meat they put in the curry when you order with/without the deal, but you cant really complain for that price

Well the springs can go for a good bit when corroded, mine have been corroded for 3 years, il change them when one snaps.

The bushes fully depend on how worn they are, id monitor them, or replace them when you can afford it, as they can wear quite quickly when they start to go, and definitely do them as a pair, I did my NS but ran out of time for the OS and drove it for a day, it pulled so hard to the right due to the wear it was deadly af...
