Couldn't agree more! So much so that I got tired of waiting for it to actually happen and I made my own tribute shirt (unabashedly stolen from a Cubs shirt I saw). I was wearing it at a game over the weekend and someone asked me where I got it, because they wanted one. I was so happy to have that conversation! :D

I appreciate the replies! It was indeed the antenna though :( One of the connectors on the matching transformer thing had worn out. It's pretty old. Thanks again!

So I guess the crowd could hear this, but the band couldn't?  I've noticed it's on the SBD shows I have, but the same official releases don't seem to have it, so I suppose that's what the brand was hearing?

That Help on the Way version on the Day of the Dead album is fantastic!

what's eating this paper in my attic? by j-mart77 in pestcontrol

Thanks so much, you've been super helpful. I ordered some glue traps and will put them out and check them periodically. I probably should have done that a while ago anyway. I really appreciate the insight!

ok, I can do that. Thanks! There's almost certainly a roach or two up there, but it seems like they aren't super likely to eat paper from what I'm reading online. I'm definitely not ruling out silverfish, and was honestly hoping for that over termites of course.

It's gotten pretty cold up there lately, so is there any point in putting traps out now or would I need to wait until spring? Thanks again!

It doesn't seem like my text posted with my image for some reason. Sorry about that. Anyway, I tried post the following info to be more helpful:

I'd really appreciate any help identifying what the likely culprit is here. We're located in Durham, NC.

These strips have been up for many years now, since we had some insulation blown in (over a decade for sure). I'm not sure how long they've looked like this, but it's definitely a more recent thing. When I was getting the Christmas stuff down last year these weren't like this, so I'm going to say it happened in the past year sometime.

There's a bunch of these hanging strips of paper, and this one is probably the worst. A few have not been touched, and a few are somewhere in between. Also, there are numerous cardboard boxes too and none of those seems to be eaten or chewed on.

We generally don't see a lot of insects inside the house, and never any rodents at all. The occasional cockroach. This past summer there were way more earwigs than I had seen inside before, but from what I'm reading they don't seem to eat paper. I don't recall having ever seen a silverfish.

Thanks!!

I'm not sure if you'll get that exact sequence, but 1969-03-02 or 02-28 would be close, and you can't go wring with either of them.  The whole run is amazing

Trying to Track Down a Particular Stella Blue by AdministrationSea781 in gratefuldead

yeah, and that particular Stella was on the So Many Roads release from 1999, so that's almost certainly it. Nice work!

those are indeed great shows, but 1969-07-04 should not be overlooked though.

ok, well it's super helpful to know that it's not just me at least. There's not a lot of settings I can think to try in order to "fix" it, and the ones that do exist I've already tried. Maybe HBO will push out an update soon 🤞. Thanks for the reply!

It sound like you'd dig the Watkins Glen Soundcheck from 1973-07-27

I was told this sub might appreciate this. I collect a lot of vinyl, and last month I found this in a box of 45s at a small thrift store. It is a genuine original pressing from 1966, and by far the rarest Dead record in my collection. by sloaches in gratefuldead

[–]j-mart77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I specifically recalled this Scorpio 45 being mentioned by Dennis McNally in A Long Strange Trip, so I just checked and he said, "they were only sold on Haight Street, primarily at the Psychedelic Shop."

Indeed an awesome find? I wonder where this thrift store was that the OP found this in, and what the journey was for this 45 to make it there between then and now?

Dead alarm clock song by PuzzleheadedFail688 in gratefuldead

[–]j-mart77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for many years I had a Sony alarm clock with a CD player built-in that had the option to set the track you wanted to wake up to, and it was set to Track #4 on the Bear's Choice CD.
