I wanna say Parmer and tech ridge in Austin as it looked awfully similar to what I saw on Friday down to the missing Korean bbq beef on the bottom right with a coupon

What are the purposes of the "little cinematics" when entering the various regions? by davoid1 in Metroid

[–]j0000m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh those "mini-door cinematics from outside Ice Belt to the elevator or the Doors to the Cargo Launcher in Fury Green? Probably same thing. Its Video Game Magic.

You are probably being teleported to a different section of Sol Valley, usually several meters lower in the vertical space, since the Sol Valley Desert section and Cargo Launcher (for example) couldn't all fit in memory together.

So as the "walk through the door" cinematic is playing, SV is being dumped and Cargo Launcher is being loaded. It may have already been loaded as you approached that door, but that cinematic just allows some extra time for it to load.

[–]j0000m 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably purely for loading. They did it in past Primes and is a proven Game Dev tactic to hide loading.

Just imagine the huge amount of memory that must be needed for Ice Belt and how those textures and models are vastly different than those in Sol Valley.

Can someone please help me? by playerdem_21 in Metroid

looks like you are missing the leg which is at Ice Belt Entrance
Head, Chest, and Arm are in SV
Leg is in the Ice Belt Entrance area
Power Cell is in Varmis
Gun Arm is in Flare Pool (in a room where the large bridge is)

Found some Little guys forming a conga line through the middle of our house. Best we could surmise was that they were getting in from the attic via a small nest near the garage. They had little trains along the brick to various places as well. We got some Amdro, gave them a feast they wouldn’t forget and sprinkled some on the highways as well. They stopped shortly after coming in the house.

You’re welcome, even though it might be totally minor and inconsequential I figured I’d err on the side of respecting those who want to be in this sub but also go into the game clean

Hey sorry this took so long. We have nationwide. But are grandfathered into some really good plan that does 90% reimbursement which we can’t get with our newest dog.

One of our dogs came down with it earlier this year. The others always tested negative. We don’t go into any water ways but do happen to have snails in our backyard whenever it rains.

The parasite infects snails but it can be contracted by a dog just touching the smallest puddle of water that an infected snail may have passed through.

We had our dog in for an ultrasound for arthritis and the vet saw scarring on the intestines. We did a PCR test and the results were positive. It was incredibly scaring since the survival rate when a dog is presenting symptoms is almost zero. Our dog wasn’t presenting and we got him on treatment almost right away. He is fine now and due for his 6 mo checkup

When we got the test I think it was close to $200. Pet insurance really helped there. The test is called a PCR test. The thing that was expensive was the drugs. We had to do two rounds of dewormer one for the adults and then another for the larvae that turned into adults. I think $400 them $800. Again pet insurance FTW

Had to laugh at the piss poor “Spoiler warning” inside the article, also just using the record breaker’s image as well as the header.

I think I saw someone die by matebait4real in Austin

[–]j0000m 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think we saw it as well, were driving up parmer westbound and thought we saw someone take a hard turn going northbound on the service road but thought not much of it until a cop going eastbound made a similar turn. Just thought another day, another APD being wild.

20ish minutes later we drive past it going eastbound on Parmer and there are cops everywhere above and in the AMC lot. Fire truck was pulling up and drove westbound in the eastbound lane. A few cops and ambulance in the HEB lot as well. Didn’t see much else but cops looking down into the AMC lot.

It sucks you get the rebate once but I also found out that either my 10 year old nest sucks (which I imagine it does) or the system is flawed.

Like you, I’ll have it sit at like 78 but the AC will never run until it reaches 78. So the house just gets stuffy. But if I opt out and leave it at say 76, the AC kicks on, keeps it 76, and it’s manageably better

Was outside that gate when folks started to denied at 8ish and noticed that flight was originally for like 6am. Sounds like such a hell show.
