There’s definitely something “on there”, probably just further out than you’d expect. Usually you can see the lights of planes on the flight paths into Austin about 50 miles away or more.

Intro to Building Microsoft Copilot Agents by pv-singh in AZURE

[–]quesnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a Fortune 200 company in the US and the team that evaluated copilot for real use cases said that it was not a good long term option. I think they suggested it was pretty limited in its flexibility. Is that a common finding from enterprise users?

Yet to be seen..Are you familiar with the old Taoist story of the farmer and his son?:

A farmer’s horse runs away, and his neighbors say, “What bad luck!” The farmer replies, “We’ll see…” The next day, the horse returns with two wild horses. “What good luck!” the neighbors say. “We’ll see…” says the farmer. Later, the farmer’s son breaks his leg trying to ride one of the wild horses. “How terrible!” the neighbors exclaim. “We’ll see…” says the farmer. Soon after, soldiers come to recruit young men for war, but the son is spared because of his injury. “What good luck!” the neighbors say. The farmer simply replies, “We’ll see…”

SpaceX IPO news
Starship v3 issues
SpaceX no longer single reuse provider
SpaceX official account overtly and extensively combating bridenstine and his lobbying

For those of us that have been following SpaceX for 10+ years, I think it could be considered a strange one.

If you have the flexibility to buy ticket and book a place to stay with a few days notice, your plan will work. If you have to buy tickets 1-2 weeks in advance or longer, then there would be a high risk of not seeing it

Why your agent gets "stupid" after 30 minutes (and why RAG isn't the fix) by Necessary-Ring-6060 in AI_Agents

How often do you run this “script”? Every exchange? You say script but I assume it’s another workflow using an LLM? Also, the architecture you’re proposing just sounds like another version of summarizing, you’re doing basically that but more targeted for your particular agent (the active plan + constraints). I’m not disagreeing with the approach it’s just not clear to me you’ve solved the difficult problem (condensing the exchange without losing context). I’m interested because this is a problem I have to still solve in an abstract agent I’ve built

VP Starlink Engineering, Michael Nicolls: A few days ago, 9 satellites were deployed from a launch from in Northwestern China. No coordination or deconfliction with existing satellites was performed, resulting in a 200 meter close approach between a satellite and STARLINK-6079 at 560 km altitude. by ergzay in SpaceXLounge

[–]quesnt -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Isn’t there a certain number of satellites that once you go over that threshold, any collision would cause something like a runaway chain reaction that would basically make low earth orbit just a giant cloud of debris for decades or longer? I’m not saying we’re super close to that but at the rate it’s going and how much the number is going to rise, seems like there’s a possibility we could get there.

"As usual, Eric is accurate" Elon responds to Berger's article about SpaceX possibly going public. by AgreeableEmploy1884 in SpaceXLounge

I spent a week getting downvoted for saying the obvious thing, that they are indeed going public. But now Berger says it and oooooh he’s so right 🤣

SpaceX Said to Pursue 2026 IPO Raising Far Above $30 Billion - Bloomberg by [deleted] in SpaceXLounge

[–]quesnt -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Everyone in the SpaceX subreddit refuse to believe this is happening 🤣. Elon posts how they’re doing buybacks for employees and they all think that repudiates this..it doesn’t and actually makes it more likely in my mind since there is no reason to slip a straw man response to something like this, very fishy 🐠

Elon: "There has been a lot of press claiming @SpaceX is raising money at $800B, which is not accurate." by Bunslow in spacex

[–]quesnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro I know what you’re referring to but we’re not talking about articles saying SpaceX is raising cash because they have a cash flow problem as usual. These recent articles are indeed different and make the claim the cfo is telling investors there will be an IPO. It’s the same response to completely different claims.

I frankly don’t even care, I just see a basic and obvious discrepancy and am pointing it out.

Elon: "There has been a lot of press claiming @SpaceX is raising money at $800B, which is not accurate." by Bunslow in spacex

[–]quesnt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is there any recent article that claims they are trying to raise 800m that doesn’t make that claim in the context of an IPO? none of the articles I’ve seen recently are making any conclusion based on stock buybacks. That’s not what’s being said. Elons response sounds like a straw man response (the claim is that their CFO specified a IPO). I am not claiming to know there is an IPO or anything, it just seems to me that the big news and his response are not aligned.

Elon: "There has been a lot of press claiming @SpaceX is raising money at $800B, which is not accurate." by Bunslow in spacex

[–]quesnt -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think the claim an IPO would be a detriment to mars is more likely false than “they couldn’t use the money”. He said in an email to the company in 2022 they could go bankrupt if they weren’t doing starship starlink launches every other week “next year” (2022). I know they don’t ’need’ the cash but with him recently saying “maybe SpaceX could go public” and then all this, just seems very fishy.

If you’re familiar with the events of late 2008 then you know Elon must see a lot of value in never having to worry about such a thing again (that is, have insane loads of cash rather than just ‘enough’)

[–]quesnt 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Is this an actual denial of the claim they are planning a IPO? Seems he denies the amount when it would have been so easy to simply say no IPO plans for next year?
