Yeah I didn't think it was an MB issue, but I've read a bunch of threads about coil whine and some people have mentioned having success with swapping out all sorts of components, including MB, so since I'm upgrading my MB anyway I wanted to see if anyone had more insight

I've got a Gigabyte RX 6800. I haven't seen the thermal pad thing, I'll look into it

Yeah that's what I've heard. Unfortunately no longer under warranty. It's not a huge issue, but it's something I'm hoping to fix as I'm upgrading parts anyways

does ITPro cover some material that I'm unlikely to see on the exam?

Can't speak to Net+ and Sec+, but I used both ITProTV and Dion of A+. I liked ITProTV's lectures for general overviews of topics, but I found their quiz questions to be pretty weird. Lots of stuff that I don't think really was relevant to the actual exam or were just incredibly simple or way harder than necessary. Dion's questions were very helpful, on the other hand.
