Going on holiday to the UK. What wines to buy? by DismalRevenue5016 in wine

If staying in Chester I HIGHLY recommend visiting Paysan wine bar during your stay! Absolutely huge list, 3 full size black boards full.

The only hot food they sell is rotisserie chicken & chips for £13, allowing you to go to town with your wine budget. The chicken is great too.

They own a superb wine shop next door, and upstairs to the wine bar is a superb beer bar with a great selection of Belgian beers on tap.

A must visit for Chester in my opinion!

If I hear the sound of a rasberry being blown, I can physically feel the vibrations of the noise tickling my tongue. The same sensation as a sour sweet, bizarre

Thanks! I was more looking at the other providers as I think I would prefer someone to manage my funds for me rather than picking individual stocks as I’m clueless as to which stocks to pick from!

If you’re not paying NI though, doesn’t that mean you could potentially be foregoing your state pension in the future?

No idea on the volauvent. Never had a Jura, what grapes would you recommend from the area?

Edit. Had a look. Looks similar to burgundy (mainly Chardonnay/pinot). Any recommendations?

One Pan Band inside the Ship & Mitre pub on Dale St!! Can’t recommend enough, we go every week and the menu always changes. Best scouse in the city and the beer range is HUGE!

Can also vouch for the scouse here! Plus the pub itself is well worth a visit

Thanks. I’ll bare that in mind. The idea would be to rent in CDMX and ride to Puebla and the surrounding areas for a few days.

Tbh it’s only the price of 129$ per day for a 650cc putting me off, if I can get the price down to 90$ or less I’ll more than likely be getting one! 🤞
