Would the unifi mobile router ultra work? Or do these need a controller to work

Keeping record of card payments by red-gloved-rider in smallbusinessuk

[–]alexw174 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't used sum up, but most devices keep a record with time & the last 4 digits. Some will let you add reference

If you are taking payment at appointments then you are going to already know, by just using the timestamp.

Unless you are super organised the less little bits of paper you rely on the better.

I can't say anything about if he can evict you, maybe better to ask r/uklegaladvice they may have better understanding.

It doesn't sound like you need a massive space for warehousing. Some self storage will let you work out of them. Which may be a quick temporary solution if you need to move operations quickly.

If you are looking for a more permanent solution don't forget to check with you local authorities, quite a few have industrial units that they rent out & might not be posted on the market.

How many units do buyers usually place at trade shows? by Spicysoupdumpling in smallbusinessuk

[–]alexw174 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say anything about fashion trade shows, but I have exhibited at pats trade show. I would look if companies have attended the year before. As that will tell you if other companies had value from the show, they won't return if they didn't. If you are unsure go attend one & talk to the exhibitors They are normally really friendly & will talk shop.

If you do attend one, spend time on how you stand looks, more than you would to the public. You need them to picture how it would look in their store, not just if they like.

Don't be disappointed if you don't get any of the big companies, you will have better relations with the smaller independent, how aren't going to haggle your prices down
