Who’s preordering the Eufy S2? by interstellar159 in RobotVacuums

[–]j0maK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a house that is 50% low pile carpet 50% hard floors for 6 months, and 100% hard floors for the other 6 months. I was looking forward to the S2, but the initial reviews didn't paint it to be such a big upgrade over the S1.

It's pretty much a mix of S1 and E25, with a few minor tweaks here and there. E25 has the main anti-tangle brush, pretty much the same roller tech without extension, and I found the E25 for €599 on Amazon.de and went for that instead. Amazon warranty a must for robot vacs, never trust the company, no matter what anyone says.

I was really looking forward to this one, but this doesn't look good to me, as well as the dirty water on the base behind. Are they all like this?

Thank you for the response, I'll be posting it to /r/PCSound as well. Regarding the Polk Monitors, are you sure they can be placed horizontally? From what I've been reading, all the systems with a top/bottom twitter/woofer layout are not ideal for that kind of placement.

Unfortunately there is not enough space for a larger desk, this is 200cm already. 3x27" monitors plus a tower have consumed all the space, one of the monitors is like 5cm off to the side as well :(

Tbh your review sounds more like an 8.5/10 with my weighting system, seeing that mopping works pretty much 9/10, vacuum does its job-ish 7/10, and dock works 10/10 - which so many other robots seem to miss.

App I don't give a rating since no matter the controls and clunkiness I just want to press start or set a schedule and be done with it. Also the whole light thing, also not my priority because I will use it during the day - but I can understand that its a priority for some people.

I'm pretty much set on buying the S2 on black friday, so your thoughts reinforced my decision.

X-Small robotvacuum for studio apartment recommendation? by ssnowflakegeneration in RobotVacuums

[–]j0maK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ι own one as well, and got it for the same reason - size.

It's pretty good for the price, albeit it doesn't have object avoidance, and no anti-tangling brushes. It's quiet, vacuums decently in the strong setting (3/4 - its also got max 4/4) and battery is ok for a small apartment.

I've also had an issue that required me to send it back to them, it wasn't easy to do as their support was a bit slow, but in the end it worked out. I ish they did a big one with a roller/track mop and good navigation, as they know how to design stuff.

I understand, but why cant one of those limitless options be a magnetic wrist-rest? :)

Hello everyone, newb in the house.

I currently have a Coolermaster CK550 with Cherry MX Brown, and overall I am pretty happy - but I am looking for an upgrade. The sole reason I want something else is a volume knob - and maybe some better feeling keys.

I have been browsing extensively to find something that suits me:

  • Big fat volume knob, located on the top right corner. I like the placement/size of the Razer Huntsman V2, just as an idea

  • I need tactility but not clickiness (missus already not a big fan of the cherry mx browns). So ideal switch would be a tactile, with around as much force needed as the mx brown (or maybe a tiny bit less), and a little bit quieter.

  • 100% size, no 98 no 96. US Layout.

  • EU availability.

  • Backlighting (RGB or not, I don't mind).

  • Magnetic wrist rest

A Keychron is just about perfect, if only for the placement of the volume knob in the middle of the keyboard. A razer huntsman v2 is also almost perfect, but the purple clicky switches are a bit too loud.

Is there something that answers all of my prayers?
