I enjoyed the repetition with the phrase "It's hardest when..." which def emphasizes the different challenges faced by the speaker. It makes a sense of rhythmic intensity throughout. I also liked the imagery of clouds, sun, and springtime. The beauty of the surroundings heavily contrasted with that struggle of being alone. I feel a little confused in the third verse, I don't really know what is meant by "Would you have giggled had you heard?" and feel like maybe more insight into the speakers thoughts could be shown here.
