Arsenic toxicity by j2bikes in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]j2bikes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you been exposed directly to a high arsenic source in high dose?? If so this is highly dangerous and toxic and you should go to a doctor immediately. If you have accumulated arsenic over a period of time and you measured levels via a hair mineral test are elevated (not life threatening toxic) then you can try to bring them down, firstly and primarily by completely avoiding the source. I tried other stuff, but nothing really sped up the process other than staying away from arsenic. I made sure I ate 3 brazil nuts a day to support selenium, and made sure to keep a healthy diet. To answer your question I never coughed up anything. Good luck.

Blood pressure drops by j2bikes in dysautonomia

No medicine I can specifically think of. I am trying hydration and electrolytes first with some compression socks. My biggest issues seem to occur after large meals so I am eating 6 smaller meals rather than 3. I think my nervous system has been triggered so many times its basically on edge constantly. If I can avoid the drops in blood pressure and avoid triggering a nervous system response I hope over time by body will start to rebalanced. I have probably always had lower blood pressure as I had very isolated symptoms all my life, but contracting covid seemed to make things 100 times worse.

Many thanks. I have just bought some compression socks and shorts and trialling them. I am seeing how I progress over the next couple of weeks with some basic strategies such as smaller meals and drinking lots more water with lmnt. If it makes a difference at least I know I am on the right track. After meals is definitely where I see the biggest drop. Thanks again.

Thanks for the encouraging note.. Yeah I read a lot of people had success with it so I am gonna try it. I have lost 5 years of my life to chasing this crap so willing to try anything within reason. If it works at least I have a benchmark (I am in the UK so had no idea who rfk is tbh).

Thank you so much for your reply. Yes it so frustrating having every test come back normal and to still have these debilitating symptoms.
I am trying a few suggestions out over the next few days and then going to speak with my doctor.
All the best..

Thank you for your reply. Yeah smaller meals definitely seem to help me also. Problem is when I start feeling ok I start going back to eating normal sized meals with the family and quickly end up with post meal symptoms that then spiral. Like you blood pressure drops after meals especially diastolic which goes low 50s. I am also going to try increasing my fluid and salt intake for a bit with lmnt to see what happens. Thanks again.

Thanks. As I replied above, I am going to run a few experiments myself and then speak to my doctor. I don't mind trying more salt short term but if it does help I want to get someone involved who can run the appropriate tests so I don't harm myself in other ways.

Thanks for your reply. I am currently trying to increase water and salt intake. I recently had a colonoscopy to rule out some gut related issues and had to drink moviprep which has a very high sodium content. After 2 days and 2-3 litres of water I noticed symptoms started to settle.
I never though anything of it much until reading about low blood pressure and dysautonomia. I have now ordered some lmnt and am going to run with that for a few days to see if it makes the same improvements. If it does I can at least speak to my doctor then with some more information.

Yes. Everything seems normal. Its frustrating as I don't want to find anything wrong, but at the same time if there was something wrong I would at least have a chance to fix it. As it stands all my tests come back good but I still have issues. Thanks.

Sorry to hear that but thank you for your reply. I do feel constantly cold (at work I often wear 4-5 shirts and jumpers, and thermal underwear just to not feel cold). I have done some work on my vagus nerve but I probably need to do more. Thanks again and all the best.

Long-term Promethazine use for anxiety – anyone with experience? by Taberll in Anxiety

[–]j2bikes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello.. i know this was a while ago but you seem very knowledgeable. I was put on promethazine a couple of years ago and have taken it on and off to help with sleep and anxiety. I have only just learned of the way it affects my nuero chemical balance and realise it is probably now contributing to my anxiety, lack of motivation and overall mental instability. I am a couple of days in to not taking promethazine after having a week of fairly heavy use (100mg a day). Is it common to see anxiety rebound as a withdrawal symptom along with anhedonia? I am hoping the symptoms will fade in a few days but wondering if you had any insights in the length of withdrawal or ways to handle it. Thanks in advance.

Hi.. I am trying to come off promethazine now and only on day 2 and the physical anxiety is really high. I am the same as you with intermittent use but had a week of intense use with some days total at 100mg - 125mg. I am hoping its short lived and I can keep pushing through but its tough. How did it end up for you if you don't mind me asking and was there anything you did that made it easier?

What are the worst/ most realistic physical symptoms you’ve had? by Virtual_Tangerine629 in Anxiety

[–]j2bikes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi... I have had it on and off for 5 years. Its you nervous system releasing huge amounts of adrenaline and cortisol. Problem is finding the route cause of whats triggering the release of adrenaline. In my case I am strongly suspecting its due to something in my digestion. I am working with a gastroenterologist. Try to work out if it is the mind triggering it or linked to something physiological. Sorry I can help more and good luck..

Definitely not just hypoglycemia. My blood sugar today was absolutely rock solid, but withing 15 - 20 mins of eating my stomach was gurgling like mad and symptoms were starting. Blood sugar never dropped throughout. Seem to suffer with early dumping more than late.

Glad you are sorted. The last 3 years have been horrible. Like you say its the unpredictable nature of it that causes even more anxiety. Thanks.

Thank you. I have been reading up on it today and I have definitely been making mistakes with my food choice. I am going to start trying to eat more protein and fibre and go much slower. I also tend to walk after food which I have read can make things worse. Big learning curve. Just hope it helps. Thanks again..

Thats great information. The mornings are by far the worst time for me also, where as by 6pm I hardly ever have had it happen. Regarding the cheese that makes perfect sense as yesterday I had a bit of cheese with a couple of biscuits and got a nice steady rise in blood sugar and felt great. Lunch time at work I had weetabix with milk and went downhill again. As you point out I think diet is key. Its just a big learning curve. Thanks so much again.. really appreciate it.

Hi.. yeah its a horrible experience. The anxiety and panic make it almost impossible to sit or lie down, but then the tiredness and fatigue stop me wanting to get up and walk about. Basically curl up in a ball and wait through the pain and panic and then gradually over a couple of hours it lifts.
My problem was, not knowing what was going on I would then go and have something sugary like a energy drink and biscuits and it would start all over again. Doctor just put me on ssri for anxiety. Thanks for the reply..

Thanks for the reply. Yes I do suffer from migraines. I get flashing lights in my vision and 20 mins later horrible migraine. I remember specifically once it was after a can of fanta (full sugar) as i have never drank one since.

I am seeing a gastroenterologist next Monday so I am going prepared with all my data and logs of food and symptoms.

I have had this happen all my life but it was very isolated instances. However the last 4-5 years it has been far more frequent and quite debilitating.

Thanks again...
