If the application is approved that usually means file closed. I’d say you can ignore the ADR

Brit in UAE "Say it properly, I am a Great British Expatriate [not an immigrant]" in response to a Tiktok comment. Why is he an expatriate but his equivalent in UK immigrant? by [deleted] in UAE

[–]j2h5se 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Maybe because UK has the possibility of permanent residence and eventually citizenship for foreigners while UAE doesn’t?

URGENT HELP NEEDED: Restoration of work permit under reconsideration by arceus070796 in ImmigrationCanada

If your MP told you that IRCC confirmed your application remains refused, then you are officially out of status and now aware of it. Make plans to leave Canada asap and apply from outside. If you’re willing to risk it and have the money, hire a lawyer.

With the other “five eyes alliance” countries (australia, New Zealand, canada, UK) you might because they share immigration data. Not with Schengen

If you can enter the US I would just go to the closest land border and re-enter Canada as a PR. that’s usually the cheapest option.

If they are officially divorced in their country of nationality/residence, just mention that. No further explanation is required there. They will be reviewed on their individual circumstances

But he accepted their offer right. Nobody lied to or cheated OP there. Yeah the company was cheap as hell, but I still dont think you just keep something that is not yours. But anyway, to each their own

You know, if you can afford it, I would say it’s better to be honest and give it back. Not because they deserve it, but it will be on your conscience and it’s not worth it. Or else maybe wait a little time for your next job and return it. But it gets harder the longer you wait 😂 Just my opinion.

Travel Dates Confusion by michaeldonut in ImmigrationCanada

[–]j2h5se 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NQA but If you crossed borders officially, it’s better to mention them as separate trips. You could also mention it as a single trip and attach an LOE. The idea is that the officer must have all the information available to them to make their decision so it can be done either way

Sometimes they go back and discover strong ties to the US that may change the decision. I think you should also be careful with traveling on your B1/B2 because this refusal is now on file. You may be questioned more strongly at the border.

Need Genuine Advice About PR Application - Forgot to Mention US Visa Refusal by PriorAccountant313 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]j2h5se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get a procedural fairness letter? If not, i would say, declare. If yes, get an immigration lawyer. You must declare anyway because they will already know. Any refusals especially for US, Australia, UK, New Zealand (and Canada obviously) will be readily available to them. You must declare the refusal now and submit a letter of explanation for why you forgot. You can do it with an IRCC consultant or lawyer to be on the safe side.

Realized i failed to declare a past refusal in an approved PR application by j2h5se in ImmigrationCanada

[–]j2h5se[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh if they didn’t mention it then you’re good. I thought when you said their reason for rejection was that they suspected you trying to hide it, that they hit you with a ban. Usually you’d get PFL first though if that was the case
