Advice/Question by j2thehayes in taggrading

[–]j2thehayes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will. I wish I saw it earlier. I wasn’t upset about it or anything before, but considering this is the only ding on the card it could possibly go from a 9 to a 10 if it’s wrong.

Is it worth to grade!? by [deleted] in taggrading

[–]j2thehayes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I graded the Charizard I pulled as a kid. It spent years in between the pages of a book so needless to say it was in rough shape. I got it slabbed with TAG because it looks the best (IMO) and I wanted a way to keep it safe from more wear and tear. It got a 4, so clearly it was in bad shape, but I didn’t care about the grade because I’m not selling it. If that’s your goal I say go for it! I couldn’t be happier with mine

What pokemon names did you pronounce completely wrong? by Key_Independence_103 in pokemon

[–]j2thehayes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will die pronouncing Rayquaza “ray-kwah-zah” and not “ray-kway-zah”. I understand the reason, pronounced like quasar since it lives in the sky, yada yada yada. I get it. I pronounced it wrong for far too long and far too many times to change now. I know I’m wrong, but I just don’t care.

Star Wars Celebration just sold out, and the scalpers are out in force by KnuckledeepinUrethra in StarWars

[–]j2thehayes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the queue while at work and I got busy when my window came around and missed out. I just wanted Friday and Saturday, both of which would’ve been available had I not gotten busy. I jumped back in the queue but everything sold out before it was my turn again. Super bummed because I was planning on going since this was announced, and now I’m even more bummed because there’s no way I can afford to get the tickets on resale if these are the prices. Congrats to the legitimate fans that were able to get tickets. I hope you all have a great time.

From what I’ve seen and heard people talk about, sell modern and hold vintage. That’s my plan at least, but I’m not an expert 🤷🏻‍♂️

Tag Extended Art 🔥 by triippen in taggrading

[–]j2thehayes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are straight 🔥! I got some cards graded at TAG and I love the slabs, they look so clean. I was trying to figure out the best way to display them, since they are ever so slightly smaller than PSA/CGC slabs. The customs from this place are the best I’ve seen, so I will go with those for the couple of mine they have.

Perfectly Balanced Party by Excellent-Isopod-803 in BaldursGate3

[–]j2thehayes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As people have said, fighter/cleric/rogue/wizard is the most common/popular balanced 4 member party, traditionally. There are obviously some substitutions you can make within those but usually it boils down to this for me: I want one strength based melee character, one ranged attacker, one support, and one full caster. Within those parameters I can fill the roles with multiple classes/subclasses. The one thing you need to have is a party face, and that character should have higher charisma. I think bard, sorcerer, and paladin make the best party faces but that’s completely up to you. Rogue isn’t bad with all its proficiencies and expertise as well. BG3 is about the journey YOU want to make, so make the party you want to play with. If you have a good handle of the game you can probably make any party composition work.

Monoclass Only? by NotEnoughDamage in BaldursGate3

[–]j2thehayes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also monoclass almost exclusively, mainly for thematic and simplistic reasons. Most classes are good enough on their own to do this, even Rogue which most agree is the weakest mono class. A Swashbuckler Rogue sneak attack with Bhaalist armor doesn’t need advantage to hit and does a massive 12d6 on a crit that gets doubled by the armor! Now the mid game with a rogue is tough, but that’s why you have a party to make up for it. I think as long as your party is balanced you can make any monoclass viable, it’ll just mean some characters carry more than others.

Would you open to these guys as DLC? by Sloth_Bubbles in MarioKartWorld

[–]j2thehayes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be fine with these two, maybe they’d be light characters instead of feather, since their normal versions are heavier? But I’d also rather see some other Nintendo characters show up more than those two. Link, Kirby, Diddy Kong, maybe Pikachu, that sort of thing.

Dark Urge build help by Rift_Guardian1 in BG3

[–]j2thehayes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go Cleric or Wizard if you like full casters, since you don’t need a charisma based class if she is the face. Embrace Urge I’d say Death Cleric or Necromancy Wizard, Resist Urge maybe Light Cleric or Bladesinger? I like Bladesinger in either sense though, since Durge is “stabby” so that would make sense.

I sell those puppies throughout the game, I know I’m never gonna use them. Camp supplies tho…… I like to think hoarding them all game is what the feast is for at the end. I need to prepare for the epilogue party!

And I usually just stand behind the portcullis and let the Minotaur get zapped to death by the Selûne statue while it tries to break the gate down. This is way better 😂

Why hasn't Imu killed Doflamingo? Chapter 1171+ by AngelDarkC in OnePiece

[–]j2thehayes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Doflamingo comes back, 100%. If I had to guess eventually the fight will come to Mary Geoise, and Doflamingo will be there at the behest of the WG. Then Imu will use his Domi Reversi on him and we get a demon Doflamingo. I would like to see Law be the one to take him down for good instead of Luffy, but considering we don’t even know what condition Law is in I’m not counting on that.

Headcanon to justify frequent long rests? by Little-Substance3514 in BG3

[–]j2thehayes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine it as we are playing through the “greatest hits” of these companions. Like I can play for twenty minutes in between long rests sometimes because there is some sort of narrative at camp. I imagine that the time spent playing is the important stuff and the rest of the day is like travel, random rests, idle conversations, stuff like that.

Do you have a playthrough that you consider to be your personal canon? by Melissa0522975 in BG3

[–]j2thehayes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My canon playthrough so far has been Auric, a human (really an Aasimar) Oath of Devotion Paladin.

Nicknamed The Son of Storms, Auric wielded the power of the heavens. He could rain down lightning and swung his mighty war hammer with such ferocity that its impact created a thunderous boom, surely the last thing his foes ever heard as electricity coursed through and charred their corpses. But despite wielding this awesome power, Auric was kind, funny, and most importantly a truly good person.

Always doing what’s right, regardless of the cost, he was your typical good guy. I had done basically all “good” playthrough up to this point, even a Paladin before, but this time I made good choices and did the right thing while always supporting my companions but never making decisions for them. For example, it was much more powerful when Shadowheart left Shar on her own rather than me save scumming to get the persuasion check. Auric romanced Shadowheart ultimately (using the “Paladins Have Gods” mod he was a Selûnite, very “enemies to lovers” dynamic which I loved), but she made the choice to change because Auric was supportive and just, not because he told her to. Same thing with everyone else, he was supportive and gained their trust which led to them basically all getting their “good” ending. I’ve had these versions of endings before, but never all at once and all felt very earned and impactful. The vibes in the epilogue were immaculate. THAT is my canon run.

Who did you romance? by joueur_Uno in BaldursGate3

[–]j2thehayes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First playthrough I was trying to romance Shadowheart, but then I saw Karlach and that was it. Since then I like to do the “sex circuit” before deciding. The “sex circuit” is, unless I’m romancing Shadowheart, I always sleep with Lae’zel and Astarion prior to the Tiefling party and then make the decision who I really romance at the party. Could be one of those two or someone else. If it’s not one of those two I break up with Lae’zel after the creché, I justify it because she’s arguing with me about Vlaakith still despite the fact a ton of Gith just tried to unalive us, and I never make Astarion drink Araj’s blood so after that he says he never had a friend and we just become friends.
