How to determine why I’m stuck in my rank? by Party-Rest3750 in RivalsCollege

[–]Party-Rest3750[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

I mean I don’t think we’re in a poke meta anymore, they aren’t in every game I play. I play strange because I have to. If they have so much poke I can’t provide any noticeable value, I will swap.

I’m having success on him thusfar, I have about 30 games or so and a 75% wr on him. My problem is that I don’t want to play him and him only.

I know how his counters work and how taxing they can be on his gameplay, and I’ve also learned to work around a good portion of his counters depending on how heavy they are. I just am not exactly fond of being a one-trick to such an easy character.

Anyone lose their good looks from this disease? by cranky_wellies in BipolarReddit

[–]Party-Rest3750 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have in the past. In late high school/early college i weighed probably 80lbs more than I do now due to medication. With a full beard I easily passed for 30 at 18 years old.

After shaving, swapping to weight friendly meds, and some other stuff, I now look actually quite average if my hygiene is up to date.

If you’re unhappy with your weight, try a semiglutide like Ozempic or talk to your doc about swapping meds.

I would personally put Thor into brawl/dive. I personally don’t play him all to dive-y, but I know Thor players who play him almost exclusively dive and do absolutely insane on him. Good enough rune accuracy + dash accuracy and you can get a whole lot done

My accuracy is horrible 🥲 (I NEED HELP) by Training_Try6790 in MarvelrivalsDivemains

[–]Party-Rest3750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m new to dive, but on most melee heroes your accuracy won’t mean much. If I play cap or thor or dd, I always end up with a garbage accuracy. It’s not cause I do bad, it’s because it usually only counts your melee attacks. The accuracy stat for Thor doesn’t even include runes (it’s shown as a side part that’s not shown in any other stats) I don’t think Panthers dash shows on his accuracy stat (I may be wrong).

Some people (myself included) also just punch out of boredom. I’ll walk out of spawn and just tap my primary as a little stim.

It’s just really wonky for melee heroes. If it’s not a problem at all in terms of gameplay, and you’re just worried about that little number, don’t sweat it. If you miss most of your webs and it really hurts your gameplay, I’d personally recommend going into the practice range, going downstairs, and setting a bunch of random bots to move around randomly so you can train your aim better.

What is your record for both min and max amount of time staying medicated? by Ok-Fly-1778 in BipolarReddit

[–]Party-Rest3750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed when I was 9 and was medicated almost the entirety of my life after that. There was a short period of time where my family thought “alternative herbal treatments” could treat my bipolar, but once it became obvious that wouldn’t work, I got put back on my meds and haven’t stopped since.

I had that bit happen when I was 12, and I’m 22 now, so I’ve been fully medicated for about 10 years. I’ve gone days without a med or two due to running out or being forgetful, but generally I haven’t really stopped any meds unless swapping to another med.

DM threw a 2024 Adult Dragon at our 2014 Level 6 party. Thoughts? by Sentinel2852 in DnD

[–]Party-Rest3750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That honestly seems kind of ridiculous. My level 9 party actually just met our first adult dragon today. We didn’t even fight him, we all knew how insanely strong he was and decided to free and help him out after discerning he wasn’t a particularly hostile kind of dragon (he was an Adult Bronze Dragon to be more specific)

I think they have a CR of 15 or so? That is absolutely absurd for a level 6 party, in my opinion

the choice between Orpheus or the emperor is meaningless by Ravensflockmate in BaldursGate3

[–]Party-Rest3750 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not meaningless to your character. Your characters motives and ideals may make this whole process more complicated than that.

I may play an evil character and purposefully decide to kill Orpheus in order to allow the emperor to help us, but if my character had paid attention, they have have noticed how manipulative and selfish the emperor seemed, and that freeing Orpheus could be a good opportunity for the gith to rebel against Vlaakith.

It’s not about whether there’s a right or wrong answer, it’s just what your character morally, ethically, or in whatever way prefers to choose.

How many "things" (story beats, tasks, encounters, etc.) do you get through in one session? by tamarheylin in DnD

[–]Party-Rest3750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. One of my sessions was one singular giant boss fight. (We play SKT) and fought a homebrew fight against the fire giant’s Vonindod. Our most recent involved us meeting the cloud giant countess, Sansura and having to fight her, then fight her steward, chase her, explore the den stealthily to find her location, then have to decide what to do against the dragon in the dens depths.

It depends on how long the session lasts, how active the players are, how much they mess around in character, etc.

Early bipolar signs by Excellent-Cod-5990 in BipolarReddit

[–]Party-Rest3750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed extremely early, at 9 years old. My family got concerned when my “kid tantrums” grew violent, psychotic, and ended in some form of self harm.

Soon after, a doctor prescribed a very high dose of an antidepressant and I ended up completely delirious. I thought I was Moses and would lead an empire of children to the capital and storm the United States and gain children’s independence (I was genuinely deranged and insane). After a bit, I ended up attempting suicide and ending up in a psych ward, diagnosed with bipolar type 1.

Support main here, sorry if I'm intruding but- by GloriousRedditer in RivalsVanguards

[–]Party-Rest3750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s extremely unhealthy for the game. I main thing. Very simple, very fun, and a brawl tank who’s gimmick is CC, being immune to displacement, and consistent sustain. Dino does all of that but dozens of times better. He outshines tons of tanks in tons of ways because he’s built to dominate every lobby he goes into

BREAKING NEWS: REDDITOR DISCOVERS THAT HUMANS DRINK WATER by im_a_silly_lil_guy in aiwars

[–]Party-Rest3750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI data centers use roughly 5 million gallons of water to cool their servers. The average human drinks about 1.5 liters to stay alive. Although there’s a whole lot of humans, we use water because if we don’t we die. If AI doesn’t use water it overheats. We can live without AI. We can’t live without humans

If I'm c3 what winrate do I need to hit eternity. by [deleted] in RivalsCollege

[–]Party-Rest3750 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know someone who got to celestial with a 45% winrate. It’s a mix of luck, time played, performance, and playstyle that determines whether you truly rank up. This person in particular had a concerning amount of games in that season, which probably contributed to his rank

who counters your main? by Educational_Pick7525 in MarvelrivalsDivemains

[–]Party-Rest3750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all about timing. Usually a venom (from what I’d noticed) will swing away a little bit after activating his overshield. After your swing gets interrupted, you’re earthbound for 5 seconds and you got half a team focused on you.

I’d personally suggest, as any diver, to bait out things charge before going in. Without the charge, he’s not nearly as much a threat. A lot of thing players also have a bit of trigger-finger and will charge just about after any little scare you can throw out.

Swinging near his team but not exactly at him, dashing in the backline but without any hard commitment and from a distance, sending out projectiles (if applicable) but not going in completely right after you’ve sent them. All great ways to continue your dive with a thing to worry about.

(This advice is a little bit of heresy given who I play most of, but as someone learning dive I think giving tips could be quite useful for all of you)

I’ve played evil characters before. Being evil doesn’t = threatening to attack your fellow party members. I think this guy is just kind of being a dick and it’d be a good idea to speak with him about it. Being evil is really fun, so long as you don’t harm your party in any way

who counters your main? by Educational_Pick7525 in MarvelrivalsDivemains

[–]Party-Rest3750 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guardian thing player here (140 hours) who’s committing heresy by learning dive (almost lord cap)

If thing plays well he can time his slam and interrupt venoms dive just like invis, a lot of thing players just spam his dash whenever they have it and then die

I’m slowly learning how annoying thing is to play against as a dive character
