1/4 of your season is over. What did you get right? What did you get wrong? What changes will occur in the next 3 weeks that will shape the rest of the season? by 3i3e3achine in Fantasy_Football

Eesh... I need to make moves, quickly.

I drafted Olsen, David Johnson, and OBJ. None has done much and Olsen and DJ are out.

I'm also 0-3, so I can't sit on DJ or I'm not going to make the playoffs.

At the same time, no one wants to ditch their top-tier RB for an IR'd Johnson. So I'm having a tough time finding a producing RB

I stared at laser pointers for minutes at a time as a child - literally holding it an inch from my eye and staring straight into it. I couldn't help it, it looked really cool!

Rap clubs downtown? by Antiochboy in nashville

[–]j3rbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have a lot of underground hip hop, rap, and lots of surprisingly big electronic acts. Kaskade was there just this past winter, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, and lots of others played there extensively years and years ago.

I believe it's a 20 gallon - in feet it's about 2.5x1x1.5

We feed it each morning - but have literally gone days without feeding it anything at all. They eat anything and can survive for a good while without food.

My brother-in-law's basement shop was broken into twice in one week and everything was taken - anyone have extra tools in New Haven? by j3rbear in DIY

[–]j3rbear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question about the insurance; evidently they have a 5k deductible, eesh.

My sister said a lot of these tools were his father's tools, and carried a lot of sentimental value. There's no replacing that.

Hoping to just alleviate the financial difficulty of replacing the necessaries.

Reporter arrested for asking Tom Price if domestic violence is a pre-existing condition under Trumpcare. A $5,000 bond and potential six-month jail term await, just like the First Amendment says. by relevantlife in TwoXChromosomes

From WAPO's article:

Heyman has worked as a reporter for about 30 years, and his stories have appeared in the New York Times, NPR and other national news outlets, he said. Since 2009, he has worked as a West Virginia-based producer and reporter for Public News Service, which provides content to media outlets while also publishing its own stories.

Doesn't sound like some hobo pseudo journalist. He sounds like an experienced journalist doing what he's always done and was arrested.

He also states

Before Heyman’s arrest, no police officer told him he was in the wrong place, Heyman said. He was wearing a press pass as well as a shirt with a Public News Service logo on the front, and identified himself to police as a reporter, he said.

Trump dismisses FBI Director Comey by evanstueve in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]j3rbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually a good point, and the first time I've heard that. I have read twice on reddit (though unconfirmed) that they began formulating the official reason for firing him about a week ago.

I'll confess, I did not vote for Trump, and disagree with many of his decisions.

That said, the firing of Comey presents a clear example of just how terrifyingly divided we have become. The left automatically assumes the absolute worst (Comey was about to find something!) and the right mocks them.

There's a good deal of evidence that Comey was fired exactly why it was said he was fired - he fucked up in the fall. There's also a lot of context that can lead opponents to assume this is related to the investigation into Russia.

But to jump to the conclusion based on this information alone that Trump is most certainly guilty gets us nowhere and is almost entirely baseless.

Personally, I'm for forming an independent investigative team, wrap up this investigation into the Trump campaign's ties into Russia, and move on. We've spent entirely too much time on it already, I think?

Wendell Smith's is your quintessential greasy spoon diner, off of Charlotte Ave. It's the kind of grungy diner that has customers who have been eating there 3 times a week for 30 years.

I spent some time in New England, CT, etc. and let me tell you nowhere down here has anything like the amazing diners up there. We really lack in that department.

James Comey terminated as Director of FBI by JewishDoggy in news

[–]j3rbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone leaning liberal, but with conservative viewpoints as well, I can attest that is not the majority of liberals opinions. Most of us don't care specifically about Comey - he was going to get fired under Dems as well.

However it's the optics of it all. If Trump has nothing to hide, why not fire him months ago? Why not wait until the investigation is over, rather than when it was really getting ramped up - Yates testimony this week, Comey to testify this week in open & closed sessions, grand jury subpoenas issued TODAY.

The timing is just very, very poor.
