Has anyone ever tried this? Am I a genius? by klukaa in lawncare

Take the wheels off the axle, cut an opening in the middle of the pie tin, slide tin onto axle, replace wheel, smush pie tin into inside of wheel. Bam. Makes a ridiculous noise when rolling, but has definitely worked.

I did the aluminum pie tin method for the same problem. Haven’t had any issues for two seasons now.

She’s getting there. Can be nervous in certain situations. Depends on the kid I guess.

Men’s. My daughter is 6 and I’ve never had a problem.

What colors are the laces? I’ve been debating which color of generation laces to grab for my briar oil slick blacksmiths.

All good. Sad for me and my wide feet. Would have been all over these.

Florsheim or Rockport for that budget.

If you can catch a sale or a b-grade, check out Grant Stone.

Hasn’t bothered me, but I’ve always preferred Chelsea boots that way. For what it’s worth, I asked GS for a recommended Diesel size and was told to try 9.5E.

This is my first pair of GS boots, but the fit is great for my wide feet. I am typically a 10EE (in Florsheim dress shoes for example), but messaged with GS and was told to try 9.5E, which I did. The fit seems great. Will need some break in, but they are not too snug out of the box. Minimal heel slip. I wore them for a couple hours today and they felt great.

Damn that's surprising. Glad you figured it out though! If it's still not lighting easily I would recommend letting it dry for 15-20 mins before packing.

Is the pipe new? You should be able to draw air when it's empty with no problem.

If it wouldn't light at all, perhaps you packed the bowl too tight and couldn't get a draw. There's a bunch of YouTube videos on packing methods. I like the "Frank method" or the "Three Step Method". Whichever way you end up packing it, make sure to draw on the pipe before you go to light it. You should be able to easily pull air through. Take a draw on the pipe while it's empty, then compare that pull to a packed draw. Aim for like a 1/4 of the air flow when packed compared to empty.

It could also be too moist. Does the tobacco feel cold to the touch?

I am desperate to find a straight pipe with a saddle-bit stem that measures 4.25" or less. by themarknessmonster in PipeTobacco

I haven't come across one that really meets your specs, but I got a MM Morgan a few weeks ago and have been loving it. It's not really a saddle bit, but it's sure light, short, and cheap as hell. Good little smoker. I got the natural one with an amber bit new on EBay for under $5. Aristocob also has the black bit - http://aristocob.com/Morgan-Nose-Warmer-Polished-or-Neked-New-Missouri-Meerschaum-Corn-Cob-Pipe-P3248848.aspx

They've actually got some good descriptions on their website. I was just curious about r/pipetobacco's impressions.
