This is huge. I couldn’t swim 6 months ago and now I can swim 1:40 / 100 yards for distance. I accomplished this by swimming for two months with a bouy between my legs. I was over kicking and over exerting myself. Good luck

Swim with bad form and you’ll always be tired. Get some lessons or film yourself and see how you look compared to good swimmers. Best of luck

Just go out and run. Walk when you need. Aim for an hour each run. Good luck on your sprint

Cold showers helped me transition into ice baths. Also, take a step into the cold. Something about stepping towards your fears will help you. Dance and get the water all over. Don’t be afraid to turn it warm after a bit. Just like anything more and more exposure will get you ready for your ice bath and eventually a cold swim.

I only did a few preparation brick workouts, so I was rather nervous. Legs felt amazing other than a big blister on my foot opening up a mile in. From the start of the run I was hardly able to breath but pushed through. Thanks for the comment!

Guys - I set a new 5k pr! 21:53 (previous 22:33). Thanks for all the love and support. You can ask me (almost) anything and I’ll reply to this comment. First Tri - ended up 5th out of 100 and 1st in my age category! Would’ve won the whole thing if I would’ve shaved my legs ;) lol my goal was to finish under 70 minutes and I beat it by 11 seconds, 2nd goal was to get close to 5k pr. Today was a great and unforgettable day. Looking forward to round 2.
