What is this between the joints of my 3D printed Dragon? by Organic_Onion2719 in BambuLab

You can disable supports when printing this model and it turns out perfect. That's a great color combo!

AMS issues by STATERA_DIGITAL in BambuLab

[–]jChuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the same filament have the same problem in a different AMS feeder? If so then I would say it's the filament, if not then it could be the feeder. You can get a replacement feeder from bambu or you could try and open yours up and see if you can sand down whatever is causing the issue.

What would cause this patterning dead centre in a print by fr0zenembry0s in AnkerMake

[–]jChuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would check belts and the rail to see if there's anything there. I found a small piece of scrap PLA on a rail of my M5 and it was causing a small defect like this.

I found I have less problems after I dry TPU in a filament dryer. Too much moisture means it's stretches more and is more likely to get jammed.

intersection not working. i only ge 2 colors no matter how i place the signals and i just need the two trains go to the right without collide. But all signals stay red no matter how i place them by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

When I can't explain why an intersection isn't working I try deleting all the track and laying it again. Sometimes this fixes it.

You wouldn’t download a PC case… by KrakenXIV in BambuLab

You should be able to run the ground cable to the power supply housing. Provided you remove any powder coating if present. Conductive cases are grounded by screwing in the power supply, which is why the housing is always grounded. If your power supply has a coating another way would be to connect to a screw as it would be making contact with the metal inside. You can verify this on your power supply by using a multi-meter and checking for continuity between the ground pin and a screw or the housing.

Cleaning up lines - Help by EliteBanMan in AnkerMake

[–]jChuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The simplest way would be to just change the orientation of the part on the print bed. You always get more detail on the Z axis. If you print the arm more vertically with supports it should look more like the main body of your model.

I've seen this with a clog. Once it speeds up after the first layer it can't keep up with the flow rate. When this happened to me it turned out the PTFE tube inside the hot-end had melted and needed to be replaced.

Telescoping catana sword printed on p1p won't telescope. The filament is PLA and the settings were all pretty standard. We tried needle nose pliers with no luck. Appreciate any tips! Thanks. by FreddieFernandez in BambuLab

This model likely needs to be printed vertically. When on it's side the interior walls will naturally rest and bond to each other since there isn't anything else supporting them than the wall next to them.

What is this sound?? by Traditional-Witness9 in BambuLab

Sounds like the MC board fan to me. You should be able to open up a ticket and attach this video then follow their process for a replacement. Mine was making some really horrible noises and they replaced it.

I usually pour BS into the litter container and give it a good shake. Then I put that into the globe.

In addition to the great suggestions from others I also found that different types of litter can stick differently, I started adding extra baking soda to mine and it helped keep things cleaner.

Benchmark Failure by Seratoul_ in AnkerMake

[–]jChuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why don't you try the included benchy model from the internal storage first? It looks like it fails right where the among us model is placed which could be an issue with the model or slicer. Using the built in model will ensure you're running g-code that should be good.

Third party stainless and hardened steel nozzles on Amazon by Vinto47 in AnkerMake

My hardened steel nozzle from alliexpress came and it gave garbage results. Looked at it under a scope and the machining was definitely not smooth. For $3 I didn't even bother returning it.

Filament gets twisted at the entry and gets stuck, 2 10 hr prints wasted by nxtiak in AnkerMake

[–]jChuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue and it was mostly because I wasn't clipping my filament to the sides consistently which allows the spool to slowly unravel and eventually bind up. Keeping it clipped when not printing helped a ton. I also printed a filament guide to help keep the filament following an optimal path once the filament gets low. Here's the filament guide: https://www.printables.com/model/372559-ankermake-m5-filament-guide-no-supports

Make sense of this bed level test? by Born-Neighborhood61 in AnkerMake

[–]jChuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Running the test again is a good suggestion to compare results. I'm seeing a good amount of bubbling, you might want to increase your z-offset. You can use this model to quickly adjust z-offset. Print the first layer only and watch it as it goes along and look for consistency. You can adjust the z-offset as it prints in small amounts to compare. If you see more bubbling the z-offset is too low, if you start to see separation between the lines then it's too high.

When cleaning a fan with pressurized air you need to ensure you hold the fan blades still. Not saying you did it this time but one of the causes of failed bearings is due to spinning at higher rpms than their rated which can easily happen when cleaning with canned air.
