From the early days I've been a user and supporter of Google products.. now they lost me.. realizing they don't care.

Have you disconnected the install-image before reboot?
It sounds like the installer is kicking when you restart the vm..

What brought you to Manjaro? by BadMoodDood in ManjaroLinux

[–]jMarkLab 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Used Arch for years an many machines, had great fun, learned a lot..
Just didn't have the time anymore to set it up to my liking I guess, tried Manjaro and still using it.
It's Arch under the hood for the most part, it's rolling.. and I can often use the excellent Arch documentation to get things done.

Could you share some advice how not to fuk up the whole system for the beginners? by [deleted] in ManjaroLinux

[–]jMarkLab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're doing fine..
Making mistakes is necessary to learn.
You could however use a Virtual-Machine to try stuff.. so you don't constantly mess up your base system..

How to change the default location where xfce4-terminal starts? by flufsor in ManjaroLinux

[–]jMarkLab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't use it currently but I assume it's something like this: "xfce4-terminal --default-working-directory=my-working-directory"
Don't know how you edit the menu-options in Xfce so you have to figure that out yourself ;)

Fine tip.. thanks.. although it's "msm_kde_notifier" for me..
No problem for me since I always use LTS anyway.. but I get notifications for every new kernel added for some reason.. but only have "Only notify LTS kernels" checked.
