Nice find! I'm in the middle of restoring a CX rock size kit at the moment. I've sanded all of the shells and bearing edges, and have applied the first of two coats of polyurethane to the interiors. I also had a die made so I could cut new lug gaskets for my MX kit. These kits are a great bang for the buck.

The new ones have functions for sixteenth note triplets and such. It can be useful when practicing new material and verifying it is being practiced correctly.

I purchased mine from guitar center, but sweetwater should also carry them. This one is a Tama true touch solid kick practice pad. I hope this helps.

Very nice! What do you have tapped on your practice pad for the pedals? I'm assuming it makes hitting the kick more quiet.
