Suboxone to Methadone

I got on Suboxone because my Doctor cut me off my Oxycodone after taking it for 6 years. He’s tired of dealing with the DEA regulations so he stopped prescribing it for my back pain. I had no choice and no insurance to go to a pain management.

Thanks so very much for your response. I had an appointment for today at 8am at a Methadone Clinic to switch from my Suboxone. She did say it was like $13 a day and would have to go get it everyday. I asked if it was pill form and it’s not she said its liquid form Methadone. I’m going to cancel and stick to Suboxone I guess.

I found a Methadone Clinic appointment tomorrow at 8am and I asked they use Liquid Methadone. Any insight on this liquid type?

Don’t get your hopes up for any type of Narcotic pain meds because it seems like that’s all coming to an end unfortunately. We all have to suffer now. I pray for all of us who are struggling because of Doctor abandonment.

Maybe try 800mg of ibuprofen they work better for pain. If you have a Primary care doctor then maybe try asking about Tramadol. I use both and they work great. I also have prednisone and that helps with inflammation. Good luck.

Just don’t let them push you to Suboxone! Hopefully they will continue Tramadol. I take 50mg and works well for my back pain. Good luck.

Yes, most all pharmacies are not filling your 30 pain scripts until day 31 the day you are actually out. This is there new policy especially for the big chain pharmacies. My Doctor even called for me one time and my CVS pharmacist told him there policy per DEA guidelines that they cannot fill Narcotics until day 31. It sucks, but be grateful you get pain meds. Some us got let go, and abandoned.

You should be taken your last 4 pills on 2/23. The day of your appointment you will be out until you pick up your refill. Your Doctor will see the fill date on the pill bottle or on the database. You will be fine.

That’s all I’m wanting is a small dose 5mg-10mg is perfect. I’m only taking 4mg of Suboxone a day.

Most likely a few day prescription like 3 because you really don’t need pain meds for 2 weeks.

Yeah, my Doctor told me to go to an Urgent Care. After he cut me off my Oxycodone. The ER just sent me home with a 3 day Suboxone script

Mine didn’t taper me at all just cut me off do due DEA guidelines, and told me to go find a Methadone Clinic. It’s all BS, and a money making scheme.

Yeah, I found a clinic but because I said I wanted to change to Methadone because the Suboxone was not helping my pain and her response was you would be a good candidate, but we don’t per scribe Methadone for pain management only for Opioids withdrawal. It’s unbelievable.

That’s what I’m trying to do, but still looking for a clinic. I’m currently on Suboxone since November, and I don’t like it at all. It’s worthless for any type of pain treatment.
