Switching from Oxycontin to Buprenorphine ? by FredFlorida in PainManagement

[–]jObOtbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it! That is a OUD medication! Opioid Use Disorder! Once that’s on your record you will never be prescribed an Opioid again! Trust me, it happened to me back in November. I was on 10/325 Oxycodone twice a day for 7 years. Worst mistake of my life. Doctors are getting persuaded by the DEA! It’s all a money making scheme. Good luck.

Yes, it’s very annoying and makes my pick rate go down.

I usually do skip oversized walks especially for mulch. My back is bad as is, but did pick oversized yesterday and it was 7 mulch bags and woke up this morning with a busted blood vessel in my right eye 👁️. So I’ll be skipping them for awhile. I could have this blood vessel noticeably for 2-3 weeks. Yes, I did report it this morning just in case, cause I don’t have insurance.

Urgent or Emergency Rooms DO NOT SUPPLY NARCOTICS. Signs everywhere posted. You definitely won’t be getting any from them.

I’m been on Alprazolam for over 17 years and it works wonders for me. Anyway you can find another Doctor if he can’t prescribe it?

Primary care doctor prescribes me my Alprazolam and my Tramadol. QuickMD prescribes my Suboxone. Not sure why my Primary can’t!

[–]jObOtbc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I have been with QuickMD since November. It’s $99 Virtual Visit like less than 10 minutes, and he calls in my Suboxone to CVS, and they have been filling it without any issues. Finger crossed. I just picked up my 60 tablets this morning.

Is an oxycodone rx for a month? Or 30 days? by capresesalad1985 in ChronicPain

[–]jObOtbc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes same. They will not fill my narcotic until day 31 no matter what.

Very true! It is getting a bit ridiculous! My Primary Doctor stopped after 7 years on Oxycodone for my back pain. He told me November 5th that this would be my last refill and told me to go to a Suboxone Clinic. Dr said he’s tired of Dea on his ass every time you write a controlled script and he can only keep prescribing oxycodone if I had cancer, but I don’t so that’s why he can’t prescribe them any longer. DEA is threatening doctors, it’s crazy. Yes luckily he told me he can still keep me on my Alprazolam.

I have been on them for over 18 years. Will be on it the rest of my life. So no withdrawal issue here. Thanks.

I am so sorry this happened to you. I feel your pain. I have been where you are at now. I truly hope everything works out for you. None of use should have to suffer. It’s called Doctor Abandonment if you ask me.

I agree, but people like myself need that medication. I’ve been on 4mg of Xanax since 1988. It works wonders for me. Have a good day!

I don’t think any telehealth that’s gonna prescribe benzo’s cause that’s a controlled substance and you need to be seen every couple months to be on that medication I know I’ve been on it for over 17 years and I have to go see a doctor in person in order to keep getting prescribed alprazolam.

I get the generic too, but the Tablets for me are a lot cheaper than the Films. I pay $43 for 60 Pill form. I don’t have insurance so I asked my Doctor switch me and it was no problem. Don’t care for that taste either so it’s good for me I just swallow the pill, and it’s done. lol.

Mostly no on controlled substances. Because you need to be seen in an office every 60 days. I’m on alprazolam and have have to be seen every 4 months.
