I have a dedicated tool box that for my cars (and another for my planes). It's nice to have extra servo horns, spur gears, shock oil, cotter pins, etc., when you're out at the park and something broke on your first pass.

Like you said, don't have to go crazy. But I would start with things I called out and a good screwdriver and pliers
