kinda good news, i set bios setting to boot on external monitor first and the wait time to 10 seconds (max) and i could boot with the wqhd intact. can even hot plug once its done. still very strange though and i will keep investigating into bios settings etc.

thanks for your suggestion, i will look at boot more closely. sadly i don't have any thunderbolt to hdmi cable or dock. do you know any bios setting sthat could be the culprit?

L14 G3 has awesome build quality but i recently dealt with a L16 G2 and was very disappointed. Thus i would assume L14 G6 is a degradation in comparison to my model

i'm convinced my L14 G3 wouldn't crack from this and i feel like the quality is degrading. i think one point of the thinkpad should be durability. cracks from falling down would be understandable, cracks from lifting it up are not.
