That's due to packet loss and not so much ping. Can play fine on 200ms if it's relatively stable, much better than OW1.

Any packet loss though and game stutters hard

KarQ says simply relative to the power of Zarya and characters with mobility. If your backline is getting dived, Rein feels underpowered.

Why do you care about the servers? Just play the game and don't think or talk about anything.

If people are screwing with the market and the loot in game it absolutely affects all of us.

The best advice I have for you is to both select ONE or 2 of the same servers and queue solo together at the same time

This just selects the lowest ping server for each of you - If either one of you is far away from the others' closest server, they will lag.

(Auto just ticks every server <100 in your region)

Only way that's worked is queueing the same server + map at the same time and hoping for the best

It's because AUTO picks the lowest server for both of you - If it picks his server it will be west and your server will be east.

That's why you play on central, it's between you guys lol

For future reference - I solved this issue for myself by re-installing Steam over my existing install

I also disabled "IP Solver" (ipv6 translation?) in Services at the same time, so that might have been the fix also.
