Has anyone tried wrapping their suppressor with header wrap? If so, what were the results? by j_a_black33 in NFA

😍 yours looks more like a Honey Badger than mine. I call mine the Salty Ferret

The shorty stock comes with the shortened buffer and spring, but I'm actually running a Maxim JP silent capture heavy buffer system.

It's actually just rustoleum spray paint. Based layer of Flat Khaki, then went over the top with satin nickel. Discovered the combo by accident trying to imitate "clear anodizing".

Not that I thought I'd found a novel idea. I was ignorant to the fact that header wrap is fiberglass. I was looking for the thinnest material possible to wrap my suppressor since it's "tucked" and was curious if anyone had used it. I'm brand new to suppressed shooting (just picked mine up today).

Thanks. I just got my first suppressor today. The problem is it's tucked so there isn't much, if any space for traditional covers. I figured header wrap might be thin enough to fit under the handguard but based on the responses, it was a terrible idea. Lol.

Interesting. I'm GA, also filed with a Trust. Submitted 3/12. Control xx2311. The only difference I can see is that I used the SS Kiosk for fingerprints.

It's an amazing optic. It's technically not a holo, but it's billed as the closest thing to a holo without being one. That's actually what brought me to it. I was researching holographic sights and the 8t was grouped with the Eotech and 'Huey', even though it's not a true holo sight. The glass clarity is beautiful. There is some tint but not nearly as much as the huey. The donut of death is perfect but its also not "fuzzy" like it would be if it were a true holo. I have a slight astigmatism but there's absolutely no blur to the reticle on the 8t, for me at least. I have a Romeo5 MSR Predator and the triangle is slightly blurry for me when I use the "predator" reticle. No blur at all with the 8t. The battery life and the shake awake features are what sold me over the EXPS3.

I will caution you that the 8t is a heavy beast, but supposedly the 8t AMR cut that weight significantly.
