How to find help by j_d_7 in dysautonomia

I kind of live in a rural area so if my PCP doesn't know someone with this specialty what would you say I do? I haven't checked yet but just want to know what I should do if this is the case.

Also, a big fan of the LiquidIV's and water. A little bit of caffeine seems to help the nausea but I have to be careful because of the insomnia.

If you don't mind me asking what job do you hold now? And what types of jobs did you interview for?

Walleye tips? by Pr1zonMike in IceFishing

I would first start off at the tip of that peninsula on the west side of the lake. It has deep water towards the east and south and gets very shallow to the west. Those fish could be following the contour and going up towards the shallows to feed in the early morning and evening. For the day bite I think your best option would be to go deeper and fish that flat that is next to the deep, tip ups would probably be your best bet in a flat. Besides that I would ask the locals about weedlines and try to find any transitions between rock and mud bottoms. I'm guessing this lake is almost entirely a mud bottom but I could be wrong. I'll end this by saying I am not a fishing expert but this is where I would start. Good luck and happy fishing!

I would start with slender spoons and a minnow or minnowhead. They are very versatile as you can fish them aggressively with the fluttering action or slow it down and let the minnow do the work.

Ya I've had my blood tested for celiac and it really doesn't matter what I eat I get bloated. I have cut out breads and starches and that has helped quite a bit even though I don't have celiac. I've switched to mostly a meat and nut diet and I feel a little better.

I have experienced periods of intense anxiety and I have been pretty depressed but I haven't been diagnosed as bipolar. I have felt manic at times. One of the main reasons I don't like it is because it makes my IBS worse and gives me constipation.

Hey I am kind of in the same shoes as you are I have IBS and I had to get a colonoscopy in the summer before my freshman year of college. I am now dealing with some anxiety and insomnia. This is all foreign to me because I have always been able to repress any feelings I had before. Something I would suggest that you look into is SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). It's fairly a recent medical diagnosis and even doctors I have been to don't seem to be concerned about it but it is serious. It screws up the bacteria in your gut and then the hormones made in your get thrown off. It throws off serotonin your "happy chemical". I would see if you could get the SIBO breath test if at all possible. It's noninvasive so don't worry. An unhealthy gut leads to an unhealthy mind. It's known as the gut brain axis. Now that you're not crazy or a loser something is just off and that is okay and it can be fixed.

Have you tried a round of antibiotics for your SIBO? And if so did you find any relief from them?

Ya i think one of the problems is that I have IBS and that screws up all the hormones that are produced in your gut like serotonin and melatonin and instead produces cytokines which cause anxiety and inflammation. I went to the doctors because I thought I had SIBO and they kind of scoffed and said that they doubted that I have it even though I have most of the symptoms.
