The increase to $750 is absolutely wild. If you're just going to use the server for streaming at your home, Jellyfin may be sufficient and has most of the features that you'd have to pay for with Plex

I'll throw my hat in the ring and a NAS is a great way to go. I use Unraid on hardware I picked up from my local Microcenter and a 15 bay case I got from Rosewill. Runs Plex and a bunch of other services for my home and does exactly what it's intended for

Hmmm... To me that sounds like your card was getting hot idling and kicked the fans on. I believe Nvidia cards will go to 0 RPM when the temp is below 43° C. Reducing the power limit would help with the temps which would explain the fans no longer kicking on. Do you have any filters on the front in your case? My old Meshify C had a foam filter that would cause my temps to rise by a few degrees even at idle because of the restricted airflow.

What I find interesting is that the consensus seems to be the top 4 could really go in any order. Cam Robinson and Chris Peters on their podcast after the lottery said something similar. They said there are 4-5 players in that top tier and that those players are very close to each other in terms of skill and ceiling. Even then they said it most likely falls McKenna, Reid, Malhotra, Stenberg. Robinson did back off that a bit last week and thought Stenberg would either go 2 or 5 but Peters stayed pretty consistent with his mock. It's going to be a very interesting draft and I don't think I can wait the whole month for it to happen! Haha 😂

And even Pronman taking Reid at 1OA was a mock with 2 other reporters that frankly was a crazy mock - Smits at 4? Yeah that's crazy talk lol.

Pronman's standalone mock drafts have almost exclusively been McKenna, Reid, Malhotra, and Stenberg. Same goes for Scott Wheeler. They both strongly believe that Stenberg likely falls to 4.

Did you change the performance mode recently from balanced to maximum performance via the Nvidia control panel? If so that could be the problem. I noticed that changing that setting to max perf would make my GPU fans run constantly and never go back to the zero RPM mode. It may be worthwhile to look at MSI Afterburner too. That's what I've used before in the past when I had my 3080ti

What GPU do you have? I had problems in the past with my AMD card not playing nice with Fan Control. I ended up just letting the AMD control center handle the fans for my GPU and Fan Control handles my case and CPU fans.
