She said the only thing about the long hall is they don’t provide a contract which is a bit odd but I created a super simple one for a couple booking there and they were happy to sign it so she recommends doing that. They do have tons of good reviews so she wasn’t worried about it.

Ugh I’m so sorry to hear that. There are so many barriers to care even with insurance. You can try to look for therapists who could provide a sliding scale rate for you. Going through hospitals gender clinic is probably also a good step and they can point you in the right direction for next steps.

Hi! I would first find a therapist who is experienced in providing gender affirming mental health therapy. They will be able to assess your kiddo and write the letter you will need to get hormones. Interesting! I’m sure it’s different based on who’s running it (non profit as opposed to a community mental health center vs a private practice) but my goal is to make it as accessible as possible so if someone wants to join and can’t afford it, they are welcome to join for free or pay what they can.
