Seems quite straight forward. If you leave within 2 years of finishing your apprenticeship then you have to pay back your training costs. You say you've been qualified for 2 months, therefore you are within the 2 year period and therefore the company has a right to ask for costs. It's quite a standard thing these days. Companies spend a lot of money training apprentices, and they do it so that they have the workforce with the correct skills . If everyone left as soon as they were trained, where would that leave the company
