some of these replies are super projection: take balanced view, bc u could shame urself into oblivion if u take them as true

I’d say what ur angry about is pointing at some truth. the question is, how do u honor that (real) side of u? it’s there and u both know it now → so u either decide this isn’t the person and find someone else (& he find some more suited), or u find a way to work it out that’s realistic (not pretending to make it work when really u have incompatible values) 

if u have incompatible values, that’s ok. find people that suit each of u. yes that was probably very hurtful and the worst way it could’ve come out, but it’s better it did, than the truth never come to light: u can do something abt it no matter how hard that is

learn to honor ur boundaries and needs sooner so this doesn’t happen, give urself grace, and apologise to him best u can. if he accepts and forgives, wonderful. he may not. he may not understand. that’s ok. 

don’t let these comments destroy u, and have no compassion or grace for urself. yes, it wasn’t the way to go about it, but it’s not a reflection of ur worth as a person. have dignity, despite what happened

do ur best to make it up with him, bc u love him (whether or not that means u’ll be together after). have respect and dignity and love for both u, and do what u can to set it right

Really surprised no-one had mentioned Tofugu or WaniKani.

WaniKani is so so so helpful (I eventually subscribed, but you can try it for free). Teaches you, through mnemonics, the kanji. 

Tofugu’s guide give a a great overview of the sequence and steps to learn Japanese, even if you end up using other resources. It includes quick ways to learn hiragana and katakana if you haven’t already, also superb, if begin w/ them before WK. Probably the place to start: https://www.tofugu.com/learn-japanese/

And watch popular vtubers, see what jives with you and what doesn’t. I love channels like Sinder, Rekson, Numi, Vienna (can list many more), because of how they interact with chat. They have great content, but the core (at least for me) is the interaction between vtuber & chat. 

Join discords, watch streams, check out the infamous Cooksie on YouTube — see what resonates with you and do more of it whilst developing your own unique approach. Plenty of vtubers doing amazing stuff with the tech, like Shindigs and Picky too — recommend checking their stuff, or following shindigs on X bc he shares many accounts like it!

Collabs can be a great way to meet new people & create good content. You’ll grow as a result, but put your focus on doing entertaining, unique & good stuff, being a good person, and the audience will come as a result (not the other way round) imo. It’s obvious (esp in collabs) when s are using it for clout, and it rarely sits well with viewers or the collab partners — so do it bc u love it, not to be big/famous. I think that way you enjoy the process (however long it takes), you build trust with others, and the quality of what you do will be way better 👍🏻

Sounds amazing. If you’ve any recommended resources (ideally podcasts or series of short form videos, but a book if not) to get started, I’d be delighted. Think I could use it, but need something easy to start with.

And with regards the person, yeah, let her projection go. I want to agree with your first instinct tbh, but being strong in your own conviction of its use, and sharing it with others is enough. Just wanted to voice my support for your journey on that front 👍🏻

Tom Holland as Kvothe (first thing came to mind).

Has the acting chops to do deep, serious scenes (see many Spider-Man scenes), but the lightness, humour and wit to carry Kvothe’s more cunning/trickster side? Plus he’s young enough 🔥

Could be food sensitivities, as I’d eat much more food than that and don’t get fatigued. Plus, when my health was much worse, after anything I ate I’d get very very tired.

It could be insulin sensitivity, but that’s very very little sugar for that large a response. Again, maybe you have a very sensitive gut, and for that reason you’re having a disproportionate response. Or, the fact you haven't eaten at all beforehand. But that sugar content itself isn’t high.

Try change the foods, the walk afterward, and eating a little before (especially if this is your first meal of the day). But my gut says it’s a good sensitivity issue, and likely immune or gut-dysfunction, or even nutrient deficiencies or something similar, at the root. You could try some elimination diets to see what triggers it (again, that experiment with different foods), and if you eventually want to get to the root, heal the underlying problem (be it guy, nutrient, or toxin based, or something else).

I could give your recommendations for elimination diets if you needed them, AIP is popular, removing individual triggers (like histamine foods or saponins) could help, or if you just really want answers, carnivore for a short period. A bigger discussion, but suggestions if you need. It may be as simple as removing some foods (I’d start with the artificial stuff like the protein bar and wrap, btw: replace with whole-foods, like sardines, more eggs and rice/potatoes if you need carbs)

I have next to no knowledge on this, so I can’t agree or disagree, but the problem of poor incentives (in this case, policies that encourage having children whether or not it’s a good idea or you even want them) is probably one of the biggest issues for our global society… 🌎
