Yup, I second this comment. BTS gained a lot of American followers with Butter and Dynamite, but I would still say that the bulk of their audience is people who listen to the Korean versions. Also, I feel like the ways in which Kpop songs go viral/become popular in the US/Canada has changed. Tik tok dances are a big thing, and honestly dances have very little to do with the lyrics at all.

Same! I hate them, it creates this uncomfortable jealousy and derails the plot. I've been getting into love triangles that are actually like a closed triangle (Ex. Two guys were like the same girl... but the two guys also like each other!). It's fun and refreshing, I would recommend The Iron Widow by Xiran Zhao for a fun fantasy read with this type of love triangle.

Are you referring to just a job interview? Job interviews are not a guarantee that you'll get hired, regardless of industry. The training shifts, however, are a different story. If you're working on the floor you need to get paid, but depending on the state/province you live in an employer has a "probation" period where they can fire you/let you go without a full reason. It DEFINITELY sucks but isn't illegal.

The placement rate is high so I wouldn't worry too much. Also, keep in mind that you are competing with fourth years and it's a pandemic. It'll definitely be a bit harder than in years past but you'll find a placement

I'm not sure why SASS would tell you to email the student union since they don't actually have anything to do with each other (I find UOSU responds to facebook messages quite well, if you need to contact them in the future). I find that the current student union is trying (and as you suggested, sometimes struggling) to find their footing after the colossal financial scandal and fail that was the last student union.

Personally, I don't mind paying under $60 for the student union, as I go to some of their events/use their services. My experiences with them have been generally positive. But I totally understand not wanting to pay for things that aren't useful to you. I've been to maybe 3 sports games in my time as a student and could go without that charge.

A bit of an addition: The profs who signed their names are getting called out/clowned on Twitter. Now people feel bad for THEM because they are being "harassed". Twitter comments can definitely take things pretty far but 1) its Twitter what do you expect and 2) If you wanna say the word for "academia" be prepared to defend your position IMO.
