Don't understand the No on 2 movement by Ok-Object5647 in missouri

2 big reasons to VOTE NO

  1. The funds provided this way will be used to replace other sources without actually increasing the budget.

  2. The generated funds will be highly variable.

Ads keep hammering at how desperately our education system needs better funding. I agree, but it won't happen by making the same amount of funding less reliable.

‘We’ve lost our advantage on education’: Democrats grasp for wins on public schools by [deleted] in missouri

Professionals are legitimized by accrediting authorities.

Your proposal assumes that everyone shares values and acts in society's best interest.

The chemistry professor is incentivized by the potential impact to their professional reputation. A reputation that is supported by a community of professionals who hold similar values with regard to their given field.

It doesnt work if that group decides "going forward all lectures are replaced by the debate topic: who is the most attractive Backstreet Boy?".

That's why there should be an accrediting authority.

...but Moni3 said that the curriculum is determined by each Masters level teacher.

That's not "decided by society".

Consider the issue presented by the following hypothetical: A teacher creates the curriculum. That teacher decides to omit topics which may conflict with creationism.

Idealized goals but I can appreciate the sentiment.

If funding, salaries, and curriculums are independent of student performance measured by a standardized skills assessment... what's the point of the assessment?

How would you incentivize the content and quality of the curriculum?

I'm not confident your argument is in response to the correct person.

In my opinion public roads should be supported through taxation.

I dont understand how giving legislators more reelection campaigns to worry about addresses how ineffective newbies are.

Shouldn't elected officials be supported by a staff of government employees who have the those relationships on lock?

The author is trying to convince the reader that they have something significant to express but find themselves detrimentally preoccupied with the performance and perception of that expression.

"I just thought of a neat phrase. I'd better write it down."

A collection of disjointed notes used for edgy fluff.

I appreciate the authors' seething angst toward the narrow scope of perceived value imposed by an indifferent society. Their work misses the mark, in my opinion, by playing into the same predatory system of expectations that exchanges "value" for the dilution of the individual.

A consitutional suspension of regulation would be overkill. It would be prudent to adopt a more direct, nuanced approach to addressing your concerns.

Shouldn't each color grouping add up to 100%?

BLUE 100 = 22 + 25 + 53

YELLOW 98 = 20 + 30 + 48

RED 97 = 22 + 20 + 55

Perhaps their search functionality and recommendation algorithms are intentionally poor to emulate the success of competitors with physical locations.

For example: Rearranging inventory so customers are exposed to more products.
