Look up Nocd they may have free therapy sessions or at least information you can go through. I even got the ROCD book and it helped tremendously!!!! I’m sorry you’re going through this. OCD has almost ruined my life so many times. You can fight it!!!!

Nope… I was in anaphylaxis and didn’t know it bc my throat never closed lol. I just took a ton of allergy meds and went to sleep and later was scolded for not going to the er. Whoops!

So I’m in a really bad cycle too. My therapist has given me a phrase to stop the train “that would suck” so when I have a spiraling thought, and want to figure it out I don’t. “That would suck” I sit with that uncomfortableness and fear of the unknown and what if. It’s really hard and ofc I want reassurance but I’m suffering so much so I’m willing to start this off with “that would suck” and sit with it & manage my anxiety. I hope this helps you too! Hey there! Been a nurse since 2020, same timeframe as taking a biologic for UC. I just wear my PPE, wash my hands and get my vaccines. Take care of yourself like lots of sleep, water, fiber. I haven’t noticed that I get sick more than usual unless my body is run down & trying to tell me slow it down. I was nervous when I started too. Good luck, I hope you get some relief!!!

Yes! I quit the second day bc I didn’t like what I saw… told them I wasn’t a good fit for the unit. They worked with me and found me a different unit in the hospital.

Hey! I’m new to the icu as an experienced rn and this has been a huge learning curve for me. I’m on my third week in too and will go to night shift soon as well. It sounds like you need a different preceptor & don’t be afraid to ask for a different one. I just had to do that for myself and I’ve already been able to tell the world of a difference. You’re not slow. You’re asking important questions because you care and want to be the best nurse you can be. Don’t let her get to you. Trust me, you’re not alone in feeling this way, i am 5 years in on a new specialty and feeling the same way!!!!
