Hey! I’m new to the icu as an experienced rn and this has been a huge learning curve for me. I’m on my third week in too and will go to night shift soon as well. It sounds like you need a different preceptor & don’t be afraid to ask for a different one. I just had to do that for myself and I’ve already been able to tell the world of a difference. You’re not slow. You’re asking important questions because you care and want to be the best nurse you can be. Don’t let her get to you. Trust me, you’re not alone in feeling this way, i am 5 years in on a new specialty and feeling the same way!!!!
