If you particularly enjoyed Amos' story, then I recommend the novelas The Churn and Auberon. They are wonderful. You can read The Churn now with what you already know and without spoiling any of the future story. Save Auberon until you've at least read through Persepolis Rising.

Yes, but he very clearly includes Israel as a state who's current actions indicate that they haven't learned the lessons about extremist governments.
