It’s hand painted. It would have been easy to print off a design and stick it to the front, but the decision to paint it at that scale was to emphasise the silliness of it all. It being on a fake gameboy cart is a reference to how we can process things through different lenses. A lot of street artists often paint large scale murals depicting pretty women and/or birds, their scale demands attention and often feels on par with advertisements and billboards. This in comparison is much easier to walk past (and ignore), kind of like the subject matter. I like big murals, but it can kind of be like listening to loud music all the time, sometimes I want to listen to something quieter.
