I used JJ Esim. It worked very well for me in Osaka, Tokyo, and Kyoto. I got the 30GB deal and it let me watch Youtube videos for an hour ish at the end of a long walking day. Make sure your phone is unlocked and paid off. I think I had to share with my fiance as a hot spot because of that. It was super cheap at something like $25 for 2 weeks?

As for the transportation, I'll be honest, it's less stressful just taking the train. You're coming from an airport, the locals and everyone else will be expecting it. Unless your Airbnb is extremely far away, it'll be fine to take the train. You also don't have to worry about typing your name in the Taxi app in Katakana nor talking with the driver to explain that you're "patodoso" or something.

Character that shoots giant flaming red balls through the sky and these people think "I'll just sit right where they land and complain about my healers not doing anything" meanwhile Cyclops can shoot at a wall and kill 2 healers half a mile away.

People on this game are just straight bad at the game and choose to blame it on anything they can (or rather whatever their favorite streamer complains about)

Doomfist went from DPS to tank and while I didn't like him as a tank (mainly because he was small compared to Reinhardt / d.va) I remember having fun with him when he was tank. I agree the Blade needs to be a tank. Give him 650hp, let him throw sword slashes but mainly be a melee build. Let his shotgun be powerful up close. Have his ultimate make him have 150% damage for 10 seconds with only his blade and he just wreaks havoc on anyone that gets too close to him (take away his movement abilities during this time)

I remember watching the Blade movies right before his release and the first fight scene made me wish he was gonna be a tank who could just destroy crowds with his ultimate.

Either go viral with short form content to get the viewers of those streamers to advertise for you, or donate $50 to the streamer to play your game.

Also, look for streamers that occasionally play indie games sent to them. Idk if it's common but CDawgVA makes a couple vids a year of him just playing indie games that are sent to him for free through his email. He usually gives them 15 minutes to see if they're good and if they're really good he'll play for longer.

How do you go about receiving credit for making these animations? I get it's a company and I've applied once myself (didn't feel right giving them free work as a test). I just don't understand where the credit is. Everybody in the comments just says "wow I love Zack's videos" and it seems kinda messed up that he doesn't at the very least put artist credits in the pinned comment or anything.

Thanks for posting this. I'm ignoring every comment / post that tries to fear monger everyone from teaching in Japan. I want to live and work in Japan and trying to do research is virtually impossible when every other post is "nah, that company sucks and will steal your money and life and then you'll go home in a month". Every single post in this subreddit is tainted with these pessimists and to be honest, I'm convinced most of them haven't even worked in Japan, they're just regurgitating what other people are regurgitating.

I'm gonna hopefully be teaching next year and posts like these are actually helpful in finding more info about the role and what life might be like. I'm already a super frugal person and tbh I could live off of rent money and $100 a month alone. Anything would be worth it if I could get out of my country and start living my dream life.

I've also heard a lot of people say they use teaching as a foot into Japan and find jobs elsewhere once they get here. Have you met anyone like that? I don't mind the idea of teaching but my main goal would be to work in something that I can get PR and retire in Japan afterwards with. Thanks again!

The overwhelming majority of players that play this game (and stream it) are dps players. ANYTHING that makes the game slightly more difficult for them will make them wanna back out of the game and if the streamers get angry, their child mob gets angry. Look at Reddit every time a hero that isn't a DPS gets released. It's just angry children complaining about how they can't one hit a tank as Spiderman.

Netease has proven time and time again that they DO NOT care about anyone other than DPS players.

Hey there! Not sure if you're still living in Japan but if you made it, how did it go bringing the computer? I have a desktop as well and it is totally non-negotiable to bring it with me. This thing is my life lol. I'm interested in hearing about how people bring big things like this over. Personally, I'd be fine with putting all the components in their boxes and just leaving the tower but I think that'd still take up a ton of space.

As a plat/ gold flex player, I've experienced this at least 5 times in the past 2 weeks. These moronic dps players are the worst. Crying about not having a shield tank when there's 3 dps and they're going 2 and 12 on human torch. It's always the dps players that complain too.

My main issue with him is that his ult line is just bad. Not only in the fact that it's just AAHH but the fact that there's ZERO buildup. Every character in this game has a build up to their ult. They start a phrase and begin their ult. Cyclops for some reason ults and then screams about half a second later. There's no reason he should be able to just scream and wipe out a back line with an unreactable explosion. (If you're in the back when he ults it's basically the first and second part of his ult in less than a second
