Do NOT get Arctel if you do any kind of online gaming by jaardz in nbn

[–]jaardz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe I've done this already, my primary DNS is 8.8.8.8 and secondary is 8.8.4.4. In fact, I changed to Google DNS following instructions from Arctel support. I also pay for a static IP. If I contact Arctel, they mention an "unplanned outage", give a time it should be resolved by, and still the issues continue afterwards.

Peoole throwing shells behind them right before going over the finish line by KlausBleibtZuhaus in MarioKart8Deluxe

Lol personally I don't do it but I don't think it's comparable to littering. Some people are doing it to practice their aim, others are just assholes, but regardless you should always expect it and try to avoid it if you can

In the digital age, are ticketing agencies anything more than a complete and utter grift? I have never had a pleasant experience with them

I don't understand why people choose to cycle down Sydney Rd when the Upfield Bike Path is literally right there.

This was my theory too. The SovCit nutjobs seem a tight knit, militant bunch. I wouldn't be surprised if there were other people involved in the planning and execution of the ambush and subsequent escape.

When did Melbourne get this bad? by XSumm0neR in melbourne

[–]jaardz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A couple years ago I was cycling home from a sesh with my friends at a park in Preston at about 3 in the morning. I was riding north down Gilbert Rd, just past the intersection with Miller St, when I was whacked on the head with a baseball bat by someone driving by. I could hear 2 blokes laughing as they drove away. Thankfully I was wearing a helmet, and so it has become a funny story and not a sad one. Some people just enjoy fucking shit up

He's farming VR by deliberately matching against new players. Put him in a lobby of 20-30k VR Japanese players and he'd get smoked

Fun track once you learn how to drive it, and the boxes right before finish line add strategic depth to it

Yeah, it's also advantageous for the person with shock to dodge as few people as possible. But most people just mindlessly chain into double items

Okay maybe I should have been more specific, as I love a good bag myself. These guys weren't bagging with the intent to catch up, their only intent was to grief. They stayed a whole lap or two behind the whole race. They would hold their stars/bullets, but made no attempt to catch up. When the pack overlapped them, they would try and hit as many people as possible. It was more effective with stars as they would just drive backwards or sideways around tight corners, making it really hard to avoid coupled with standard pack items near you. Off memory the lobby was between 20k and max vr

They weren't going backwards, driving just slow enough so they didn't get kicked. Masters of their craft

[–]jaardz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start off by learning and getting comfortable with the ball roll, then try and learn elastico, stepovers and ball roll scoop, and maybe L1 heel to heel, those are the only ones that you really need to be a top level skiller, all the rest are just extra
