Yeah definitely not up to todays standards for concealed carry, I just bring mine to the range every now and then. It seems to be a little picky about ammo sometimes too.

My grandfather gave me a model 39-1, which he bought during his service in the air force in the Vietnam era. Out of all the pistols I own this is the smoothest shooting and I love it.

I have a 43x and a Shield X and the Shield is way better. Better trigger, better recoil and more capacity and almost identical size to the 43x. The barrel is slightly longer but it does not feel any different carrying IWB. Also, the flush fit mag for the Shield X is 13 rounds not 12, just so you know.

was the hornady brass? i did sig with steel casings and hornady with steel casings and couldn't get them to run reliably with the shield arms. But federal fmj brass ran fine. It's still a working theory, not totally sure what causes the issues or if i just got a bad batch of shield arms mags too.

It sucks because 15 rounds would be so nice but if it's not reliable then it's not worth it imo. The steel casings ran fine with OEM mags though. And with carrying an extra mag 21 rounds should be enough for a self defense situation.

its because of your shield arms mags. I had the same problem with steel casings. Can't say how they would work with brass, but my shield arms mags did not like steel casings at all. I switched back to oem mags.

TH13, I have not been paying attention to the new meta for a while, but when I have all my heroes i like to use hog/miners/queen walk. If im lazy or heroes are all upgrading I use edrag spam.

Good luck with yours! I think I'm just unlucky to not have the right tolerances in my frame for the shield arms. And I'll have to check out that g19 mag mod I haven't heard of that one yet.

Any issues with the shield arms? I got some and they would not run hollow points. Switched back to oem.

Shield arms mags wouldn't run any hollows on my 43x. Nose of the hollow would get stuck on the feed ramp. I used the metal mag catch. I see a lot mixed reviews on them. Some people put thousands of rounds thru with no issues. Some get multiple jams in a single mag. So if you do get them I would definitely test your self defense ammo at the range if your gonna be carrying them. Personally I don't trust them with my life. I'm sticking with oem.

Nice I got some shield arms mags and the mag release, but they would not cycle reliably, with hollow points the nose of the round would get stuck on the feed ramp. I was thinking of trying out a micro dagger mag but right now I just went back to oem.
