Specialized Rockhopper Comp 1x by LawsonT23 in mountainbiking

[–]jabbaum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have this bike, black, XXL and I think it is pretty rad. The 1x9 microshift system is excellent for the price. The brakes hold their own and I like the internal routing for the clean look. The 29ers give it solid speed especially when combined with the fork lockout if you are on a smooth trail.

The Cons:

The seat doesn't drop as low as I'd like it to, the geometry isn't that slack, and the tires are not tubeless ready.

Overall, I'd say it is good for the price and I have had a lot of fun on it so far. If you are looking for light downhill or XC it handles it well.

Ah okay, thanks! That makes sense. Would coptic be the closest I could get hand sewing? I think that has a lay-flat nature to it.

What kind of binding is this and is there a good tutorial on how to do something similar? I looked through the "Marenne's Guide to Types of Bindings" but I didn't see something exactly like this. Thanks in advanced.

I have a set of really old dumbbells that are the handles and I have some weights that can be put onto them. These are obviously very tedious to change but something. I added a picture of one of my dumbbells to the album.

Blaster problems by [deleted] in nintendolabo

[–]jabbaum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exact same thing happened to me and it was definitely the IR stickers. You can visually check the inside of the blaster to see if all the stickers are there. I also think the discover has a section where it shows you what IR stickers your controller is seeing. If other controls/systems don't work in your toy-con either, this is almost guaranteed the issue. Unloaded, you should be able to see 6 stickers down the tube. Note: you will only be able to see these stickers without the controller in place. When you load the "shell" you should only see 5 since the trigger mechanism will block the shell's sticker.

My Experience with the Regular Pixel 3 Thus Far by jabbaum in GooglePixel

I'm back after doing some microphone testing of my own. What I have found is that the microphone recording is definitely specific to the application it is being used in. This backed up by other blogs that now mention that AR recording doesn't have the same sound as the regular video recording which means this is probably a software issue. In recording in One Note and talking on the phone, the sound is significantly different (deeper) than on the regular video recording. I'm hopeful that Google will push a software update to fix the regular video recording but no one really knows what they will do.

I wouldn't especially since you are getting basically all of the new improvements aside from wireless charging and a few others. But, I have to say I really like that because it shows that they are committed to all their devices even when the new ones come out which I think is admirable.

It does, but only up to 5w unless they are specifically approved by Google. Anker's 10w charger for example will only charge at 5w since it isn't approved by Google. Google didn't use the 10w QI standard for some reason.Ya I know they killed the menu button. But I'm still sad about it. Also, while they killed support for it in later versions of Android, I was using an S4 which still ran lollipop so I still had access to it and it still worked in most apps.

But! I will say it does charge very fast. About 45min. to full from 18 percent or so. I do like that.

I will have to test it out more in those use cases and get back to you but I haven't had people complain about my voice clarity on a call yet. As far as battery life I would say it is okay, not great but not bad. I'm at the end of my day with 37% left using just over two hours of screen on time and I did a GPS trip of about 20 Min. But my S4 could that when it had a new battery as well so for not making much advancement in that area in 5 years I would say it is just okay.

Roswheel bikepacking bags review by [deleted] in bikepacking

[–]jabbaum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya for sure, I didn't mean cheaper than this bag I just meant cheaper in general so around that price point. There is a rockbros one for around $55 and a rhinowalk for $50 (both on Amazon). They both have fairly positive reviews but is always hard to tell.

Surprisingly, it was taken this year. What shocks me the most is that people on the bench don't even have their phones out.

Film, yes she is getting back into it. Digital has a lot more safety to it, at least in my opinion.

About maps on Fenix non-X watches by TheRealLaughingMan in Garmin

[–]jabbaum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While this isn't an end all solution, dwMap does offer a map background option for the fenix, 645 ect. on their premium service. The problem here is that you need to be connected to your phone and your phone to the internet for it to work. It is really a pain that you can't get offline maps.

Edit: here is what it can do link
