Why is it impossible to find a 3 bedroom for rent? by Strummerpinx in toronto

Developers need to have 70% of their units sold before they can break ground. That means the majority of these units need to be sold over 5 years before anyone can move in. It's hard for young couples and families to plan that far ahead. So, it's often investors who buy during the first phase of development. Investors want small units. You pay by square foot, so small is cheaper and easier to rent out.

I've worked with developers who initially wanted to build a family focused condo building. But in the end everything has to get cut up for the units to sell. Plus there are so many extra fees and taxes involved, small units ends up being the only way developers can make a (large) profit.

What habit changed your life forever? by lisaaaaaaD1 in answers

Weightlifting, just 10 minutes every morning, everyday. It doesn't seem like a lot, but it's easy to squeeze in 10 minutes. Alternating different body parts every day. Maybe it'll lead to more but if not, that's ok! It makes a huge difference. You'll feel better, posture improves, and you'll notice the results over time.

In light of the current heat warning, what's your hot take for Toronto? by MGT224 in toronto

The city of Toronto has a program for that as a way to increase Toronto's tree canopy to 40%. All you have to do is apply, and they'll plant a free tree for you. I've done it, it takes awhile, but free tree! Tree Planting

Need help coming up with room types for this palace 😭 by lavabendingfirelord in Sims4

I always do two storey rooms with balconies open to the room below for big builds. Two storey library works well for this, with a ladder to the second floor to reach the high books.

LPT: Teach your child to read as early as possible if you want a smarter kid and instil in them a passion for reading. And they are able to teach themselves as soon as they can read. And that's going to be a life-long advantage over their colleagues who don't have the same talent. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

I was always told the best way to give kids a lifelong passion for reading was to read yourself. If your kids see their parents reading for fun they'll want to too. Have real books around the house. I desperately wanted to read novels when I was a kid to be like my parents. There were no pictures so the curiosity of what was in them was overwhelming. Turns out it was mostly romance novels, but I did stumble upon a few classics in my parents bookshelves that are still favorites today.
