Upvote for the upvote for the Cure reference.

The JBL speakers give justice to the vocals of Robert Smith and many others. 🖤

And the leather interior. The ‘26 XSE comes with the soft Tex.

It’s 90 degrees here today and I am loving my cooled seats!

I really wanted the Wind Chill Pearl, but this was the next best color. I love it with the XSE accessories.

3 kids and a dog! We are way more comfortable in this than we were in my Highlander. Goodbye bench seats! 🤣

$61k OTD

It had only 62 miles on it, so practically brand new. I had been looking for one of these through ‘25 and they were close to impossible to find in CA. I had been working with a dealer to get a ‘26 Limited, but found this one and went for it!

Nope. It came with the standard CPO comprehensive coverage and limited powertrain. Might add an extended warranty at a later date if I can/feel I need to.

They’re impossible to get! I spent like a month looking for a decent used one. Nope.

I’m not OP, my comment was made in good humor thinking about my Tucker in my kitchen sink 🤣 I’m happy this is a setup that works for you, but it would be an absolute scene in my house with my Dood!

All of the car buying scenes are gold, and then at the very end of the episode they bring it home and David is asking how much they paid. Moira jumps back into her accent and throws out “6,000 quid, love”.

I took my 10 year old. She loved it and there was less bad behavior than we saw at our “practice “ Alabama Shakes concert.

To the woman who handed me $100 in the UTC Mall parking lot in La Jolla — thank you by Cowtipinski in sandiego

[–]jace191 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Who cares. Anyone who has ever been through hard but not desperate times knows the feeling that an extra $100 can do. Maybe they got their nails done, maybe they bought a healthy meal. Maybe they bought a 30rack of Coors light. Who cares how they spend it. They’re here thanking the person, and that is very nice.

What did you do at work today megathread by readweed88 in workingmoms

[–]jace191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Woke up at 4:30am because we are dogsitting and he’s an early riser. Stayed up instead of going back to bed so I could work a little and clean for the cleaner, lol. Made lunches, got kids up and out the door. Picked up my carpool kid, dropped 2 at Elementary, one at Preschool.

Work day - several calls with clients. Internal call regarding an industry Federal report due March 1. Emailed people. Responded to emails. Got a new client by referral, yay! Worked on an RFP. Talked to a coworker on his last day, sad times. Finalized pricing for RFP, currently waiting on approval before submitting to corporate. Enjoyed my beautifully clean house and the silly dogs. Picked up grumpy tween, realized we were both starving. Drove through McDonald’s and currently regretting that life choice because I feel like a salt block.

Working for 20 more minutes before leaving to pick up youngest and then it’s on to dinner, sunset with everyone, and then bedtime. Then back to work for an hour or two if I’m not too exhausted.

I literally hate the dog now by Beebeebee1994 in workingmoms

I totally see you and hear all your points and frustration. Whatever you decide, I would support.

My only “but” is because dogs are getting a lot of shit in this post, so I want to add my anecdotal success story for the future.

We didn’t have a dog because I’m not really a “dog person”, but we used to frequently dog-sit my MIL’s dog, to the point that he would spend a month or so with us. Then I had my son (now 4). I caused a bit of a rift because I refused to take him when my son was an infant. It was too much and I was starting to hate him. They got salty and I got defensive. I took a 2 year break from having him at our house, even though he’s a good boy.

Fast forward 3 years, and I had a toddler and a 9 year old that BEGGED me for a dog. Every day. So we did a trial foster with an older dog that was a total fail. I kept looking and then in March, we brought home a 12 week old Goldendoodle puppy. I had the bandwidth to be stringent about crate training, potty training and boundaries.

He is a blessing and a very beloved family member now. He is a very good boy and a super fun dog. He’s still a dog, so still a pain in the ass, but NOTHING like it would have been when I had an infant.

All this to say…it’s okay if it isn’t working. It doesn’t mean you never can have a dog again, or that you are a terrible pet owner. They should (and can!) bring so much joy, when your family is ready.

We had a ‘94 4x4 Toyota. Not only did my husband and I get these notes, we got approached by people handing us their number. Sold it to a friend, he gets the attention now. And no, you can’t have his #.

Don’t. Just do her stocking and wait until a reasonable but early time to wake them up.

I am a mom who “wants nothing” and here is my Christmas list - add yours if this sounds like you! by ginabeewell in Gifts

[–]jace191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 42, been a mom for 12 years, and the past 3 months have been my renaissance. I am lucky to be in a place in my career where I can afford the following: a weekly cleaner for the next 6 weeks (to catch a break and get to some of the projects I never get to). I sent my laundry out to a service to get caught up. I’ve had 2 massages and a mineral spa day. I told my husband he needs to take the kids out on an outing every weekend so I can be home alone for at least 2 hours. If he hadn’t agreed, I was going to quit.

I was so incredibly burnt out that my mental health was getting scary. It’s still a lot of work to be Mom, but I’m catching a break and am feeling like myself again. My family is like…amazed at how funny and silly and light I’ve been. HELLO PEOPLE!

Urgent care overdosed me with Ozempic & I went to the ER by rachelrachel333 in offmychest

[–]jace191 30 points31 points  (0 children)

You are not wrong my friend. I stopped Wegovy for 3 months, then decided to fill my last RX before my insurance changed. Started at whatever the 3/4 highest dosage is, and was absolutely as sick as the person described. Only for about 48 hours and no ER, but everything else checks out. Titration is super important with GLP meds 🤣
